Setup
1. Charging the Headphones and Case
Before first use, fully charge your JBL Wave Beam headphones and charging case. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the charging case and a power source. The indicator lights on the case will show the charging status.

- Total Playtime with Case: Up to 32 hours
- Quick Charge: 10 minutes of charging provides 2 hours of playtime.

2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
- Select "JBL Wave Beam" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, a confirmation sound will play, and the indicator light on the earbuds will change.
3. Fitting the Earbuds
For optimal sound quality and comfort, choose the ear tips that best fit your ears. Experiment with the different sizes provided to find the most secure and comfortable seal.

Operating Instructions
1. Basic Controls
The JBL Wave Beam earbuds feature touch controls for various functions. Refer to the Quick Start Guide for a detailed diagram of touch commands. Common controls include:
- Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
- Next Track: Double tap on the right earbud.
- Previous Track: Triple tap on the left earbud.
- Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
- Voice Assistant: Press and hold on either earbud (customizable via app).
2. Ambient Aware & TalkThru
These features allow you to stay connected to your surroundings without removing your earbuds.
- Ambient Aware: Increases ambient sounds, allowing you to hear your surroundings while listening to music.
- TalkThru: Lowers music volume and amplifies speech, enabling conversations without removing earbuds.

3. Making and Receiving Calls
The earbuds support hands-free calling. Use the touch controls to manage calls. VoiceAware technology helps you hear your own voice clearly during calls.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean your earbuds and charging case to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Use a soft, dry cloth. For ear tips, remove them and gently wipe with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.

When not in use, store the earbuds in their charging case to protect them and keep them charged. Store the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
3. Water and Dust Resistance
The JBL Wave Beam earbuds are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance, and the charging case is IPX2-rated for splash resistance. This means they are protected against limited dust ingress and splashes of water from any direction. They are not designed for submersion in water.
