5.3 Upload Modes

The scanner supports two data upload modes:

  • Instant Upload Mode: Data is transmitted immediately after each successful scan to the connected device. This is the default mode.
  • Storage Mode: Scanned data is stored in the scanner's internal memory (up to 5000 UPC barcodes) and can be uploaded later as a batch. This is useful when working out of range of your host device. To switch between modes or upload stored data, refer to the specific configuration barcodes in the full user manual.

5.4 Enhancing Efficiency

The hands-free design significantly improves scanning efficiency compared to traditional handheld scanners, allowing for faster data entry and reduced manual effort.

To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the scanner regularly, even if not in constant use.
  • Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your JRHC HC-Z01T scanner, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Scanner not connecting:
    • Ensure the scanner is charged and powered on.
    • For 2.4G wireless, ensure the USB dongle is securely plugged in and recognized by your device.
    • For Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your host device and the scanner is in pairing mode. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
    • For USB wired, try a different USB port or cable.
  • Scanner not reading barcodes:
    • Ensure the barcode is not damaged, smudged, or poorly printed.
    • Check if the scanning window is clean and free of obstructions.
    • Ensure the scanner is within optimal reading distance and angle for the barcode type.
    • Verify that the barcode type is supported by the scanner (refer to Section 2, Features).
  • Data not appearing on screen:
    • Ensure the scanner is successfully connected to your device.
    • Check if the cursor is active in a text field or application where you expect the data to appear.
    • If in storage mode, remember that data is not sent instantly. You need to scan the 'Upload Data' barcode from the full manual to transmit stored data.
