Setup & Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your LIDER Lighted Double Switch. If you are unsure about any step, consult a qualified electrician.
1. Prepare for Installation
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box controlling the switch location and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove the existing wall plate and unscrew the old switch from the electrical box. Disconnect the wires, noting their connections.
2. Wiring the New Switch
The LIDER double switch features clamp-type back insert wiring for secure connections. Ensure all connections are firm and use copper wires only.

- Ground Wire: Connect the bare copper or green insulated ground wire from the electrical box to the green ground screw on the switch.
- Line/Load Wires: The double switch has separate terminals for line (incoming power) and load (outgoing to fixtures). Connect the appropriate wires to the designated terminals. This switch is a single pole, controlling two separate loads.
- Neutral Wire: This switch does not require a neutral wire for operation.

3. Mounting and Finishing
- Mount Switch: Carefully fold the wires into the electrical box and secure the switch to the box using the provided mounting screws. The shallow body design fits standard junction boxes.
- Install Wall Plate: Snap the frameless wall plate onto the switch. Ensure it is flush with the wall for a clean, modern aesthetic.
4. Restore Power
- Once the switch and wall plate are securely installed, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
- Test the switch by pressing each paddle to ensure both connected fixtures operate correctly.

Operating Instructions
The LIDER Lighted Double Switch provides independent control for two separate electrical loads.
- Turning On/Off: Press the top portion of a paddle to turn the connected fixture ON, and the bottom portion to turn it OFF. Each paddle operates independently.
- LED Locator Light: The switch includes a subtle LED light that illuminates when the switch is in the OFF position, making it easy to locate in the dark.
