1. Introduction

The NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2) is an enhanced controller designed for use with the Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED in handheld mode. It features an ergonomic design for comfortable extended play, adjustable RGB lighting, programmable buttons, turbo functionality, and precise motion controls with dual-motor haptic feedback and a six-axis gyroscope. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Gripcon controller.

Familiarize yourself with the components of your NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2) controller.

3. Features

4. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to connect your NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2) to your Nintendo Switch or Switch OLED console.

  1. Enable Pro Controller Wired Communication:
    • On your Nintendo Switch/Switch OLED, navigate to "System Settings".
    • Select "Controllers and Sensors".
    • Enable the "Pro Controller Wired Communication" option.
  2. Insert Console: Carefully slide your Nintendo Switch or Switch OLED console into the NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2). Ensure the USB-C port on the console aligns with the connector on the controller. For Switch OLED, due to its larger size, you may need to gently push/pull the bottom of the console to ensure a proper connection.
  3. The controller is designed for plug-and-play functionality and should be recognized automatically once properly connected.

5. Operation

5.1. Adjusting RGB Ring Lights

The joysticks feature customizable RGB lighting. Use the dedicated lighting button to cycle through different modes and adjust brightness.

5.2. Using Mapping Functionality

The two extra buttons on the back of the controller can be programmed to mimic other button inputs, providing quick access to frequently used actions.

5.3. Activating Turbo Functionality

Turbo mode allows for rapid, automatic pressing of a button. This is useful for games requiring fast, repetitive inputs.

5.4. Haptic Feedback and Gyroscope

6. Compatibility

The NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2) is specifically designed for and compatible with the following consoles:

Note: While some product specifications may list "Windows" as a compatible device, the primary design and intended use of this controller are for the Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED consoles in handheld mode.

If you encounter issues with your NexiGo Gripcon (Gen 2), refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

Controller not recognized by Switch/Switch OLED."Pro Controller Wired Communication" is not enabled; loose connection; console not fully inserted.
  • Ensure "Pro Controller Wired Communication" is enabled in Switch System Settings (refer to Section 4).
  • Remove and re-insert the console firmly into the Gripcon, ensuring a secure USB-C connection.
  • For Switch OLED, gently push/pull the bottom of the console to ensure full contact.
Buttons or joysticks are unresponsive.Loose connection; software glitch; physical obstruction.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the console.
  • Restart your Nintendo Switch console.
  • Check for any physical debris around the buttons or joysticks.
RGB lights are not working or stuck.Lighting mode not selected; software issue.
  • Press the lighting button to cycle through modes.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the console.
Console not charging while connected.Loose USB-C cable connection; power source issue.
  • Ensure the charging cable is securely plugged into both the Gripcon and a power source.
  • Verify the power source is functioning correctly.
