Control Descriptions:

1. Mic Input Jacks (1-4): XLR/TRS combo jacks for connecting microphones or line-level instruments.
2. Phantom +48V Switch: Activates +48V phantom power for condenser microphones on individual channels.
3. Gain Control: Adjusts the input sensitivity for each channel.
4. High Control (EQ): Adjusts the high-frequency equalization for each channel.
5. Mid Control (EQ): Adjusts the mid-frequency equalization for each channel.

Setup Guide

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection:

Carefully remove the mixer from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Ensure all accessories, including the power adapter, are present.

2. Power Connection:

Connect the provided power adapter to the Power Socket (19) on the rear of the mixer. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. The Power indicator (18) will illuminate when the unit is powered on.

3. Input Connections:

• Microphones/Instruments: Connect microphones or instruments to the Mic Input Jacks (1) using XLR or 1/4" TRS cables.
• Phantom Power: For condenser microphones requiring phantom power, activate the Phantom +48V Switch (2) for the respective channel.

• Stereo Line Input: Connect stereo line-level devices to the Stereo Input (10) using 1/4" TRS cables.

4. Output Connections:

• Main Outputs: Connect the Main Output (13) XLR jacks to your powered speakers, amplifier, or recording interface.
• Headphones: Connect your headphones to the Headphone Jack (12) for monitoring.

5. USB/Computer Connection:

Connect the mixer to your computer using a USB cable via the USB Port (14). This allows for audio recording and playback through your computer.

6. Bluetooth Pairing:

To connect a smart device via Bluetooth:

1. Ensure the 5/6 and USB Switch (9) is set to USB/Bluetooth mode.
2. On your smart device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "SHERIFF" (or similar device name).
3. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the mixer.

Operating Instructions

1. Channel Gain Adjustment:

Use the Gain Control (3) for each channel to set the input level. Adjust the gain so that the Peak Level Indicator (8) flashes only occasionally during the loudest parts of the signal, avoiding constant illumination which indicates clipping.

2. Equalization (EQ) Adjustment:

The EV6 features a 3-band EQ for each channel (High, Mid, Low). Use the High Control (4), Mid Control (5), and Low Control (6) to shape the tone of each input.

3. DSP Effects (FX):

The mixer includes 16 built-in DSP effects. Use the FX Control (7) on each channel to send signal to the effects processor. The Effect Adjustment (17) knob and the MP3 Control (15) buttons (UP/DOWN) allow you to select and fine-tune the desired effect.

4. Main Output Level:

Adjust the overall volume of the main mix using the Main Control (16). Monitor the level meters to prevent clipping at the output.

5. Monitoring:

Use the Headphone Jack (12) to monitor the main mix. Adjust the headphone volume using the dedicated headphone level control (part of Effect Adjustment 17, labeled as Monitor volume adjustment in the diagram).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the mixer. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the unit.
• Storage: When not in use, store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Cable Management: Ensure all cables are neatly organized and not under strain to prevent damage to connectors and ports.
