1. Introduction

2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Included Accessories
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:
- Yamaha PS500 Digital Piano unit
- PA500C Power Adapter
- FC4A Sustain Pedal
- Music Rest
- This Instruction Manual
Note: The L-300 stand and LP-1 pedal accessories are sold separately and are not included with the standard package.
2.2 Power Connection
- Connect the PA500C Power Adapter to the DC IN jack on the rear panel of the PS500.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard AC outlet.
- Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position before connecting.

2.3 Sustain Pedal Connection
Connect the FC4A Sustain Pedal to the SUSTAIN jack on the rear panel of the PS500.
2.4 Smart Device Connectivity (Bluetooth)
The PS500 supports Bluetooth connectivity for integration with smart devices and dedicated applications.
- Download the "Smart Pianist" and "flowkey" apps from your device's app store.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smart device.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
To power on the PS500, press the power switch located on the rear panel. To power off, press the switch again.
3.2 Using Stream Lights Technology
The Stream Lights feature guides you by illuminating LEDs above each key.
- Four LED lights are positioned above each key.
- Lights move towards the keys to indicate the timing of the next note in a song.
- This feature is primarily used in conjunction with the Smart Pianist app for interactive lessons.
