4. Setup and Installation
This tap is designed for wall-mounted installation. Ensure your wall connections are compatible with standard plumbing fittings.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the main water supply to your kitchen. Clear the area around the installation point on the wall.
- Check Wall Connections: Ensure the hot and cold water supply pipes are correctly positioned and spaced for wall-mounted taps. The adjustable mounting holes allow for some flexibility in spacing.
- Install Excentric Connectors: Apply plumber's tape to the threads of the excentric connectors. Screw them into the hot and cold water outlets in the wall. Adjust their position until the distance between their centers matches the tap's inlet spacing (typically 150mm, but check your specific tap). Ensure they are level and securely tightened.
- Attach Wall Plates: Place the decorative wall plates over the excentric connectors.
- Mount the Tap: Place the tap onto the excentric connectors, ensuring the sealing washers are correctly seated. Tighten the nuts securely with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Flexible Spout: Ensure the flexible spout is securely attached to the tap body.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leakage. If leaks occur, turn off the water, tighten the connections, and re-test.

6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Ibergrif kitchen tap.
Cleaning the Tap:
- Clean the tap regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive liquid cleaner.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Avoid using abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, bleach, or phosphoric acid, as these can damage the chrome finish.
Aerator Maintenance:
The aerator at the end of the spout can accumulate mineral deposits over time, affecting water flow. It is recommended to clean it periodically.
- Unscrew the aerator from the end of the spout.
- Rinse the mesh screen under running water to remove any debris. For stubborn mineral deposits, soak the aerator in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water for 30 minutes.
- Reassemble the aerator and screw it back onto the spout.
