The M-695 DBTW is a versatile audio system featuring CD playback, Bluetooth connectivity, NFC for easy pairing, DAB/DAB+ and FM radio, USB playback, and an auxiliary input. It delivers 60 Watts of audio power and includes a 2.8-inch TFT LCD color display for clear information and control.

Setup

1. Placement

Place the main unit and speakers on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with high humidity or dust.

2. Speaker Connection

Connect the speaker cables from the main unit's speaker terminals to the corresponding terminals on each speaker. Ensure correct polarity (e.g., red to red, black to black) for optimal sound quality.

3. Antenna Connection

Connect the supplied DAB/FM antenna to the antenna input on the rear of the main unit. Extend the antenna fully for best reception. You may need to adjust its position to improve signal strength.

4. Power Connection

Connect the power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit, then plug the other end into a standard AC power outlet.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the Power button on the front panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

Selecting a Source

Press the Function/Source button repeatedly to cycle through available input sources: CD, Bluetooth, DAB/DAB+, FM, USB, AUX.

Adjusting Volume

Rotate the Volume Knob on the front panel clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

CD Playback

  1. Select the CD source.
  2. Press the Open/Close button to open the CD tray.
  3. Place a CD (compatible with CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 formats) with the label side facing up into the tray.
  4. Press the Open/Close button again to close the tray. The unit will begin reading the disc.
  5. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, and navigation buttons to control playback.

Bluetooth Pairing (NFC)

The system supports Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming and NFC for quick pairing.

Bluetooth Pairing:

  1. Select the Bluetooth source. The display will show "Pairing" or "Waiting for connection".
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other device.
  3. Search for available devices and select "MUSE M-695 DBTW" (or similar name) from the list.
  4. Once paired, the display will indicate a successful connection, and you can stream audio.

NFC Pairing:

  1. Ensure NFC is enabled on your compatible smartphone or tablet.
  2. Select the Bluetooth source on the Hi-Fi system.
  3. Tap your NFC-enabled device gently against the NFC logo on the MUSE M-695 DBTW unit.
  4. Confirm the pairing request on your device. The connection will be established automatically.

DAB/DAB+ Radio Operation

  1. Select the DAB/DAB+ source.
  2. The system will automatically scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations upon first use or if no stations are stored.
  3. Use the navigation buttons to browse through the list of available stations.
  4. Press the Select button (or similar) to tune into a station.
  5. To store a station, refer to the on-screen menu options (up to 40 stations can be stored).

FM Radio Operation

  1. Select the FM source.
  2. Press and hold the navigation buttons to automatically scan for the next available station, or press briefly for manual tuning.
  3. To store a station, refer to the on-screen menu options (up to 40 stations can be stored).

USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive) into the USB Port on the front panel.
  2. Select the USB source.
  3. The system will read the files on the USB device. Use the navigation and playback buttons to select and play audio files (MP3 compatible).

Auxiliary Input (AUX-in)

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the Aux-in Jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
  2. Select the AUX source.
  3. Control playback from your connected external device. Adjust the volume on both the external device and the Hi-Fi system.

Sound Settings (Equalizer, Bass/Treble)

The system allows adjustment of sound characteristics.

Cleaning the Unit

CD Lens Care

To ensure optimal CD playback, avoid touching the CD lens. If the lens becomes dirty, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc (not supplied).
