  1. Connect the 3.5mm Audio Jack: Plug the 3.5mm connector into the audio port of your PC, laptop, gaming console (PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series devices), Mac, or smartphone. This connector handles both audio output and microphone input (TRRS standard).

  3. Adjust Headset Fit: Place the headset over your ears and adjust the headband for a comfortable and secure fit.
  4. Position Microphone: Gently pull out the retractable microphone from the left earcup and bend it to position it near your mouth for optimal voice capture.
  5. Configure Audio Settings (if necessary): On your device, ensure the Acer Nitro Gaming Headset II is selected as the default audio output and input device in your sound settings.

Note: Some older PCs or devices may require a 3.5mm audio splitter (not included) to separate microphone and headphone signals if they have dedicated microphone and headphone jacks instead of a single combo jack.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Audio Control

  • Volume Adjustment: Use the volume wheel on the in-line control unit to increase or decrease the audio output level.

5.2. Microphone Usage

  • Extend/Retract Microphone: Pull the microphone out from the left earcup when needed, and push it back in for storage or when not in use.
  • Mute/Unmute Microphone: Use the microphone mute switch on the in-line control unit to toggle the microphone's active status. When muted, your voice will not be transmitted.
  • Noise-Canceling Feature: The omni-directional microphone is designed to reduce background noise for clearer communication.

5.3. RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting on the earcups is powered via the USB connection. It activates automatically when the USB connector is plugged in. Specific controls for RGB patterns or colors are typically managed through your device's software or are pre-set.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity of your headset:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the earcups and headband. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on the headset.
  • Cable Management: Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cable to prevent damage.
  • Microphone: Gently retract the microphone when not in use to protect it from damage.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your headset, refer to the following common solutions:

ProblemPossible Solution

  • Ensure the 3.5mm audio jack is fully inserted into the device's audio port.
  • Check the volume wheel on the in-line control unit and your device's master volume.
  • Verify that the headset is selected as the default audio output device in your device's sound settings.
  • Test the headset on another device to rule out a device-specific issue.
