4. Setup
4.1 Connecting a 1 lb Propane Cylinder
- Ensure the heater's control knob is in the 'OFF' position.
- Locate the propane cylinder connection port on the side of the heater.
- Thread the 1 lb propane cylinder clockwise into the connection port until hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
- Check for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak.

4.2 Connecting to a 20 lb Propane Tank (Outdoor Use Only)
For extended outdoor use, you can connect the heater to a 20 lb refillable propane tank using an optional extension hose (sold separately).
- Ensure the heater's control knob is in the 'OFF' position and the 1 lb cylinder (if attached) is removed.
- Connect one end of the extension hose to the heater's propane connection port.
- Connect the other end of the extension hose to the 20 lb propane tank.
- Slowly open the valve on the 20 lb propane tank.
- Check all connections for leaks using a soapy water solution.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Ignition Procedure
- Ensure the propane tank is securely connected and the gas supply is open.
- Turn the control knob to the 'PILOT' position.
- Press and hold the control knob down for 30-60 seconds to purge air from the gas lines and allow gas to reach the pilot.
- While still holding the knob down, press the Piezo igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites. You should see a small flame.
- Continue to hold the control knob down for another 30 seconds after the pilot ignites to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
- Slowly release the control knob. If the pilot flame extinguishes, repeat steps 2-5.

5.2 Adjusting Heat Settings
- Once the pilot flame is stable, turn the control knob counter-clockwise to the desired heat setting (Low or High).
- The ceramic burner will begin to glow red, indicating heat output.

5.3 Shutting Down the Heater
- Turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position.
- Close the valve on the propane tank.
- Allow the heater to cool completely before moving or storing.
