Introduction
Welcome to your new VTech VS306-4 DECT 6.0 Cordless Home Phone System. This system is designed to provide reliable communication with advanced features such as Bluetooth Connect to Cell, Smart Call Blocker, and a digital answering system. Enjoy clear calls and enhanced control over your home communication.

Setup
- Install Battery Pack: Open the battery compartment cover on each handset. Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment. Place the battery pack with the label UP and close the cover.
- Charge Handsets: Place each handset in its respective charger or the main base unit. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow at least 16 hours for the initial charge.
- Connect Base Unit:
- Plug the small end of the AC adapter into the power jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the large end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
- Set Date and Time: After the handsets are charged, the display will prompt you to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen instructions or refer to the Quick Start Guide for detailed steps.
Operating Instructions
Making and Receiving Calls
- To make a call, press HOME/FLASH or CELL and dial the number.
- To answer a call, press any dialing key (1-9, *, #), HOME/FLASH, or CELL.
- To end a call, press OFF/CANCEL.
Smart Call Blocker
The Smart Call Blocker feature helps you screen and block unwanted calls. Robocalls are automatically blocked. You can also manually add numbers to a blacklist.
- To block a number during a call, press the CALL BLOCK button on the handset or base.
- To review blocked numbers or add new ones, navigate to the Call Block menu via the handset's MENU/SELECT button.

Bluetooth Connect to Cell
Pair your cellular phone(s) with the VTech VS306-4 system to make and receive cell calls using your cordless handsets.
- Pairing: On the base unit, press and hold the BLUETOOTH button until the Bluetooth indicator flashes. On your cell phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "VTech VS306-4". Select it to pair.
- Making Cell Calls: Press CELL on the handset, then dial the number.
- Receiving Cell Calls: When a cell call comes in, the handset will ring. Press CELL to answer.
- Accessing Voice Assistant: Press and hold the VOICE button on the handset to activate Siri, Google Now, or S Voice on your paired cell phone.

Digital Answering System
The integrated digital answering system records messages when you are away. It has up to 22 minutes of recording time.
- To turn the answering system ON/OFF, press ANS ON/OFF on the base unit.
- To play messages, press PLAY/STOP on the base unit.
- To record your own outgoing announcement, follow the voice guide prompts after pressing MENU/SELECT on the handset and navigating to the Answering System settings.

Intercom and Conference Calls
- Intercom: Press INT on a handset, then dial the number of the handset you wish to call.
- Push-to-Talk (PTT): Press PTT on a handset to broadcast a message to other handsets.
- Conference Call: During an external call, press INT, dial the desired handset number, and then press CONF to join all parties.
Maintenance
- Clean the phone and charger surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or harsh chemicals.
- Avoid placing the phone in direct sunlight or in areas with high humidity or extreme temperatures.
- If the phone will not be used for an extended period, disconnect the battery pack from the handset.
Troubleshooting

| No dial tone. | Ensure the telephone line cord is securely plugged into the base unit and the wall jack. Check if the AC adapter is properly connected. |

| Cannot make or receive calls via Bluetooth. | Ensure your cell phone is paired and within range of the base unit. Check Bluetooth settings on your cell phone. |
| Answering system is not recording messages. | Verify the answering system is turned ON. Check if the memory is full. Delete old messages if necessary. |
