The Lakota Solar Post Cap Light features a contemporary design with a clear hammered lens, providing soft white LED illumination. Designed for outdoor use, it charges during the day using solar energy and automatically illuminates at dusk.

• 2 x Solar Post Cap Lights
• 3 x Adapters Per Light (3.625 inch, 4 inch, 4.5 inch)
• 2 x AA 600mAh Ni-Mh Rechargeable Batteries (1 per light, pre-installed or separate)

• 4 x Plastic Anchors

3. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

The Lakota Solar Post Cap Light is designed for easy installation on 4, 4.5, and 5-inch posts. Choose a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day for best performance.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
2. Activate Light: Locate the ON/OFF switch, usually on the underside of the light base. Ensure it is in the 'ON' position.
3. Select Adapter: Identify the correct adapter (3.625 inch, 4 inch, or 4.5 inch) that fits snugly over your post. The light itself fits 5-inch posts directly without an adapter.
4. Position Light: Place the post cap light (with the appropriate adapter if needed) onto the top of your fence or deck post.
5. Secure Light (Optional): For added security, use the included screws and plastic anchors to fasten the light to the post. Drill pilot holes if necessary.

5. Operating Instructions

The Patriot Lighting Lakota Solar Post Cap Light operates automatically:

• During the day, the integrated solar panel charges the internal rechargeable battery using sunlight.
• At dusk, the light sensor automatically detects low light conditions and turns the LED light on.
• The light will provide illumination for up to 8 hours on a full charge.
• At dawn, the light automatically turns off and begins recharging.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the solar panel and the clear hammered lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal charging and light output. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Battery Replacement: The light uses 1 x AA 600mAh Ni-Mh rechargeable battery per light. If the light output diminishes significantly or stops working after a full day of charge, the battery may need replacement. Use only a rechargeable Ni-Mh battery of the same specifications.
