The Evenflo Shyft DualRide is designed for infants weighing 3 lb to 35 lb and measuring 15.7 in. to 32 in. It seamlessly transitions from an infant car seat to a stroller, offering convenience and versatility.
Setup and Installation
1. Car Seat Base Installation
The car seat base can be installed using either the vehicle's LATCH system or the vehicle's seat belt. Always ensure a secure fit with minimal movement (less than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path).
Using LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children)
- Locate the lower anchors in your vehicle's back seat.
- Extend the Quick Connectors from the car seat base.
- Attach the Quick Connectors to the vehicle's lower anchors until you hear a click.
- Press down firmly on the base while pulling the LATCH strap to tighten the connection.
- Verify the base is securely installed by attempting to move it at the belt path.
Using Vehicle Seat Belt
- Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat.
- Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path on the base.
- Buckle the seat belt.
- Engage the LockStrong Installation mechanism by pressing down on the blue lever to secure the seat belt tightly.
- Verify the base is securely installed by attempting to move it at the belt path.

2. Attaching Infant Carrier to Base
Align the infant carrier with the car seat base and firmly press down until you hear an audible click, indicating it is securely latched. Always check the connection before driving.
3. Stroller Assembly
The Evenflo Shyft DualRide comes pre-assembled as a car seat and stroller combo. No additional assembly is required for the stroller function.

Operating Instructions
1. Transitioning from Car Seat to Stroller
The Shyft DualRide allows for a one-step transition. To deploy the wheels for stroller mode, locate the release mechanism on the carrier and activate it. The wheels will extend from the carrier, transforming it into a stroller.

2. Detaching Carrier from Wheels (for lighter carry)
If you prefer to carry the infant carrier without the wheels, simply detach the carrier from the wheel assembly. This makes the carrier lighter for transport, especially when navigating stairs or tight spaces.

3. Adjusting Handlebar
The stroller handlebar is adjustable to accommodate users of different heights. Locate the adjustment buttons on the sides of the handlebar and press them to extend or retract the handle to your desired height. Ensure it locks securely into place.
4. Using the Canopy
The full-coverage canopy provides protection from sun, rain, and snow. It also features UPF 50+ sun protection. Extend or retract the canopy as needed to shield your child.
5. SensorSafe Technology
The integrated SensorSafe technology provides real-time alerts to four potentially unsafe conditions via a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone: unsafe ambient temperature, child unattended, unexpected chest clip unbuckling, and child buckled too long. Refer to the SensorSafe app instructions for setup and usage.

6. Removable Carryall Storage Bag
A removable carryall storage bag is included for your convenience. Attach it to the designated points on the stroller frame to carry essentials for your child.
7. Removable Cup Holder
A removable cup holder is provided for the parent. Attach it to the handlebar for easy access to beverages.
8. Braking System
To engage the brakes, firmly press down on the brake pedal located near the rear wheels. To release, lift the pedal. Always ensure the brakes are engaged when the stroller is stationary.
Maintenance
Cleaning Instructions
- Plastic and Metal Parts: Wipe clean with mild soap and water, then dry with a soft cloth. Do NOT lubricate or immerse any part of this child restraint in water unless rinsing is permitted.
- Harness: Wipe clean with mild soap and water. Allow the harness to air dry.
- Seat Pad: Machine wash the seat pad separately in cold water on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
- Wheel Wells: The wheels nest securely in removable, washable wheel wells in the base to keep dirt off your backseat. These can be removed and cleaned as needed.
