4. Setup
4.1 Mobile Application Installation
- Search for "Battery Test" in the Google Play Store (for Android devices) or the Apple App Store (for iOS devices).
- Download and install the application on your smartphone or tablet.

4.2 Device Pairing
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Power on the BT508 device.
- Open the "Battery Test" application.
- Scan the QR code located on the back of the BT508 device to initiate Bluetooth pairing.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
5. Operating Instructions
The BT508 supports both in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle battery testing. Ensure proper clamp connection: red to positive (+), black to negative (-).
5.1 In-Vehicle Test
This test assesses the battery, starter, and generator while installed in the vehicle.
- Connect the BT508 clamps to the vehicle battery terminals.
- Open the "Battery Test" app on your paired mobile device.
- Select the "In-Vehicle Test" option.
- The application will automatically populate vehicle and battery information. Confirm or manually enter details if necessary.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the battery test, starter test, and generator test.

5.2 Out-of-Vehicle Test
This test assesses the health of a standalone battery.
- Connect the BT508 clamps to the standalone battery terminals.
- Open the "Battery Test" app on your paired mobile device.
- Select the "Out-of-Vehicle Test" option.
- Manually enter the battery type and specifications (e.g., CCA rating).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the battery test.
- Review the displayed results and maintenance tips.

5.3 Cranking Ability Analyzer
This function evaluates the starter's performance.
- Perform an In-Vehicle Test as described above.
- When prompted, start the vehicle engine.
- The app will display Cranking Results, including Starting Voltage and Starting Time.
5.4 Generator Test
This function assesses the vehicle's charging system.
- Perform an In-Vehicle Test as described above.
- When prompted, run the engine at specified RPMs.
- The app will display Generator Test results, including Charging condition, Output Voltage, and Ripple.

- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
