5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the handle of the thermometer.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Taking a Measurement
- Point the thermometer at the target surface.
- Press and hold the measurement trigger. The laser pointer will activate to indicate the measurement area.
- The temperature reading will appear on the digital display.
- Release the trigger to hold the reading on the display. The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity.
6.2 Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)
With the thermometer powered on, press the dedicated °C/°F button (if available, refer to device markings) to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit units.
6.3 Backlight Control
Press the backlight button (if available, refer to device markings) to turn the display backlight on or off for improved visibility in different lighting conditions.
