1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1 Attaching to iPhone:

  1. Ensure your iPhone is clean and free of debris.
  2. Carefully slide your iPhone into the protective case provided with the AsReader unit, ensuring the Lightning connector aligns properly.
  3. Gently push the iPhone until it is fully seated and the Lightning connector is securely engaged with the AsReader main unit.

3.2 Initial Charging:

Before first use, fully charge the AsReader device. Connect a compatible charging cable to the charging port on the AsReader unit. The charging indicator (if present) will show the charging status. A full charge ensures optimal performance and battery life.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 RFID Operation:

The AsReader ASR-0230D supports UHF RFID tag reading and writing. To operate:

  1. Ensure the AsReader is connected to your iPhone and the relevant application is open.
  2. Point the RFID antenna area of the AsReader towards the RFID tag you wish to read.
  3. Press the trigger button (if available on the device) or initiate scanning via the application.
  4. The device will emit a signal to read the tag. Data will be displayed in your application.
  5. For writing, locking, or erasing tags, follow the specific instructions within your RFID application.

4.2 Barcode Operation:

The device can scan various 1D and 2D barcodes using its integrated CMOS sensor.

  1. Open the barcode scanning function within your application on the iPhone.
  2. Aim the barcode scanner lens at the barcode, ensuring the aiming laser (red light) covers the entire barcode.
  3. Press the trigger button (if available) or activate scanning through the application.
  4. Hold the device steady until the barcode is successfully read. A confirmation sound or visual cue will indicate a successful scan.
  5. Maintain an appropriate distance from the barcode for optimal reading (refer to specifications for readable range).
