4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Do not fully tighten all screws until the entire structure is aligned.

Step 1: Attach Side Panels to Bottom Panel

Place the bottom panel on a clean, flat surface. Attach the two side panels to the bottom panel using the provided screws. Ensure the pre-drilled holes align correctly. Hand-tighten screws initially.

Step 2: Install Back Panel

Slide the back panel into the grooves or attach it to the rear edges of the side and bottom panels, securing with screws as indicated in the hardware guide.

Step 3: Attach Top Panel

Carefully place the top panel onto the assembled structure. Align the holes and secure it with screws. At this point, you can gently tighten all screws on the main frame, ensuring the structure is square and stable.

Step 4: Install Front Doors

Attach the two front doors to the designated hinges on the front frame. Ensure the doors swing freely and the latches align with the locking mechanisms. Adjust as necessary before fully tightening the hinge screws.

Step 5: Install Adjustable Feet

Screw the four adjustable feet into the pre-drilled holes on the bottom corners of the crate. These can be adjusted later to level the crate on uneven surfaces.

Step 6: Insert or Remove Divider Panel (Optional)

The divider panel can be inserted into the central grooves to create two separate compartments or removed for a single large space. To install, slide it down the central tracks. To remove, lift it upwards and out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Using the Doors

The crate features two front doors, each with a secure latch. To open, lift the latch and pull the door outwards. To close, push the door shut and ensure the latch engages securely. Always confirm both doors are properly latched when your pet is inside.

5.2 Configuring with the Divider

The removable divider allows for flexible use:

  • For Two Small Dogs: Keep the divider installed to create two separate, secure compartments.
  • For One Medium Dog: Remove the divider to provide a single, larger space.

Refer to Step 6 of the Assembly Instructions for detailed guidance on installing and removing the divider.

5.3 Adjusting for Stability

If the crate wobbles or is unstable on your floor, adjust the height of the individual adjustable feet by rotating them clockwise or counter-clockwise until the crate is level and stable.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe down the crate surfaces with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe cleaner as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or harm your pet. Ensure the crate is completely dry before placing your pet inside.

6.2 Regular Inspection

Periodically check all screws, bolts, and latches to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose fasteners. Inspect the steel bars and wood panels for any signs of wear, damage, or sharp edges that could injure your pet.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Doors do not align or close properly.

Solution: During assembly, ensure all main frame screws are only hand-tightened until the entire structure is assembled. If doors are misaligned after full assembly, slightly loosen the screws connecting the top and bottom panels to the side panels. Adjust the frame until the doors align, then re-tighten all screws firmly. Small adjustments to hinge screws may also help.

  • Issue: Crate wobbles or is unstable.

Solution: Adjust the individual adjustable feet on the bottom of the crate. Rotate them clockwise to shorten or counter-clockwise to lengthen until all four feet make firm contact with the floor and the crate is stable.

  • Issue: Latches are stiff or difficult to operate.

Solution: Apply a small amount of pet-safe lubricant (e.g., food-grade silicone spray) to the moving parts of the latches. Operate the latches several times to distribute the lubricant. Avoid using excessive amounts.
