Maintenance
- Battery Care: To maintain optimal battery life, fully charge the handsets for 16 hours before initial use. Avoid over-discharging the batteries frequently. Replace batteries when they no longer hold a charge effectively.
- Cleaning: Clean the phone's surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
- Environmental Conditions: Keep the phone away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and moisture. Ensure proper ventilation for the base unit.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your phone system, try the following solutions:
- No Dial Tone: Ensure the telephone line cord is securely plugged into both the wall jack and the base unit. Check if the base unit's power adapter is properly connected to an electrical outlet.
- Handset Not Charging: Verify that the handset is correctly seated in its charger cradle and that the CHARGE light is on. Check the power adapter connection for the charger.
- Poor Sound Quality/Interference: Move the handset closer to the base unit. Avoid placing the base unit near other electronic devices (e.g., microwaves, Wi-Fi routers) that may cause interference.
- Cannot Make/Receive Calls: Confirm that your telephone service is active. If using a DSL service, ensure a DSL filter is installed.
- Handset Display is Blank: Ensure the handset battery is charged. If the battery is fully charged and the display remains blank, try resetting the handset by removing and reinserting the battery.
