5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Opening the Murphy Bed Chest
- Ensure the area in front of the chest is clear of obstructions.
- Unlatch any locking mechanisms on the top panel of the chest.
- Gently pull the top panel forward and down. The bed frame will begin to unfold.
- Continue to pull the bed frame until it is fully extended and the support legs are securely in place.
- The 6-inch memory foam mattress will unfold as the bed extends. Adjust the mattress sections as needed for a flat sleeping surface.

5.2 Closing the Murphy Bed Chest
- Remove all bedding, pillows, and personal items from the mattress.
- Fold the mattress sections back into the chest.
- Lift the bed frame, guiding the support legs back into their stored position.
- Push the top panel upwards until the chest is fully closed and secure any locking mechanisms.

5.3 Using the Storage Drawer
The Murphy Bed Chest includes a spacious bottom storage drawer for bedding, pillows, or other items.
- To open: Gently pull the drawer handle outwards.
- To close: Push the drawer inwards until it is fully seated.

5.4 Using the Built-in USB Charging Station
The chest features a built-in power source with 2 USB ports and 2 AC outlets for convenient charging of your devices.
- Locate the charging station on the side of the chest.
- Plug your device's USB cable into one of the USB ports, or an AC adapter into one of the AC outlets.
- Ensure the chest is plugged into a wall outlet for the charging station to function.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Wood Surface
- Wipe the wood surfaces with a dry, soft cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the finish.
- Promptly clean up spills to prevent staining.
6.2 Mattress Care
- The 6-inch memory foam mattress is designed to fold. Avoid excessive bending or forcing the mattress.
- Spot clean the mattress cover with a mild detergent and damp cloth as needed. Allow to air dry completely.
- Do not machine wash or dry the mattress cover.
