  10. Close the Case: Once all components are installed and cables are managed, reattach the side panels.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the top panel of the case to turn on your PC. To turn off, use the shutdown option in your operating system or press and hold the power button for a few seconds.

4.2 ARGB Fan Control

The EMPIRE GAMING Ruby case includes four 120mm Addressable RGB (ARGB) fans. These fans are connected to an integrated controller hub. You have two primary methods to control the RGB lighting:

  • LED Button Control: Use the dedicated LED button on the top panel of the case to cycle through over 20 pre-set RGB effects and colors.
  • Motherboard Synchronization (MB Sync): The integrated controller is compatible with popular motherboard RGB synchronization technologies via a 3-pin 5V ARGB header. Connect the controller to your motherboard's ARGB header to control lighting through software such as:
    • ASUS Aura Sync
    • GIGABYTE RGB Fusion
    • MSI Mystic Light Sync
    • ASRock Polychrome Sync

5. Maintenance

5.1 Dust Filter Cleaning

The EMPIRE GAMING Ruby case is equipped with dust filters to prevent dust buildup inside your system. Regularly clean these filters to maintain optimal airflow and cooling performance.

  • Front Panel Filter: The mesh front panel acts as a dust filter. It can be carefully removed for cleaning.
  • Top Panel Filter: A magnetic dust filter is located on the top panel. Simply lift it off for cleaning.
  • PSU Filter: A removable dust filter is located at the bottom, beneath the power supply unit.

To clean, gently brush off accumulated dust or rinse with water if heavily soiled. Ensure filters are completely dry before reattaching.

6. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your PC case.

  • Fans Not Spinning/RGB Not Lighting Up:
    • Check all fan and RGB cables are securely connected to the integrated controller and the controller is powered.
    • If using motherboard sync, ensure the 3-pin 5V ARGB cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's ARGB header and the motherboard's RGB software is installed and configured.
    • Verify that the power supply is providing adequate power to all components.
  • Front Panel USB Ports Not Working:
    • Ensure the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 headers from the front panel are correctly plugged into the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
    • Check your motherboard's BIOS settings to ensure USB ports are enabled.
  • Power Button Not Responding:
    • Confirm the power button cable from the front panel is correctly connected to the 'PWR SW' pins on your motherboard.
