5.1 General Operation
To turn the vacuum cleaner ON or OFF, use the power switch located on the top of the unit. The swivel casters allow for easy maneuverability around your cleaning area.
5.2 Wet Vacuuming
The WD 3 is designed to handle wet spills and liquids. Ensure the wet/dry floor nozzle is attached. The top-mounted cartridge filter does not need to be removed for wet vacuuming. Simply switch on the unit and begin vacuuming liquids. When the container is full, the suction will automatically stop.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
The WD 3 features a top-mounted cartridge filter that can be used for both wet and dry vacuuming without needing to be removed. For optimal performance, regularly check the filter for debris and clean it as needed. To access the filter, unlatch the motor head from the container. The cartridge filter can be gently tapped to dislodge dry dust or rinsed with water if it becomes heavily soiled (ensure it is completely dry before re-installing for dry vacuuming).
Replace the 3-layered fleece filter bag when it is full or when suction power noticeably decreases during dry vacuuming. Replacement filter bags are available from Kärcher authorized dealers or online.
6.2 Container Emptying
To empty the 4.5-gallon polypropylene container, ensure the unit is unplugged. Use the "Pull & Push" locking system to release the motor head from the container. Carefully lift the motor head and dispose of the collected dry debris or liquid. Clean the inside of the container with water and mild detergent if necessary, then dry thoroughly before reassembling.
