1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Pokitter PTC1200-W Ceramic Electric Space Heater. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new heater. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • The heater is equipped with a tip-over safety switch that automatically shuts off the unit if it is accidentally tipped over.
  • The heater is equipped with an overheating protection system that automatically shuts off the unit if it overheats.
  • Ensure the heater is placed on a firm, level surface to ensure the tip-over switch functions correctly.
  • The product uses non-flammable materials for enhanced safety.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other objects. Do not place it on soft surfaces like rugs or carpets that might block the air intake.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched off. Plug the power cord directly into a 110V AC, 60Hz wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press the power button () to turn the heater on or off.
  2. Heat Settings:
    • Press the mode button () to cycle through heat settings: Cold Wind, Low Heat, High Heat.
    • The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Oscillation: Press the oscillation button () to activate or deactivate the 80° oscillation function.
  4. Timer:
    • Press the timer button () to set the auto-off timer.
    • Available settings are 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and 8 hours.
    • The selected timer duration will be indicated by the illuminated light.
  5. Child Lock:
    • To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button (🔒) for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates.
    • This will prevent accidental changes to settings.
    • To deactivate, press and hold the lock button again.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cleaning the Dust Screen: The air inlet is equipped with a washable dust screen.
    1. Ensure the heater is unplugged and completely cool.
    2. Carefully remove the dust screen from the air inlet.
    3. Wash the dust screen with mild soap and water.
    4. Allow the dust screen to dry completely before reattaching it to the heater.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the heater in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Pokitter PTC1200-W heater, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
