4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting

The SS766N energy meter is designed for mounting on a standard 35mm DIN rail. Locate a suitable position within your distribution box or electrical panel.

  1. Ensure the DIN rail is securely installed.
  2. Align the meter's mounting clip with the DIN rail.
  3. Press the meter firmly onto the rail until the clip engages and locks the meter in place.

4.2 Wiring Diagram

Follow the wiring diagram carefully. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or pose a safety risk. The meter requires connection to both the live (L) and neutral (N) wires of the power supply and the circuit to be monitored.

  1. Identify the Live (L) and Neutral (N) terminals on the energy meter. These are typically labeled.
  2. Connect the incoming Live (L) wire from the power source (e.g., circuit breaker) to the Live input terminal of the meter.
  3. Connect the incoming Neutral (N) wire from the power source to the Neutral input terminal of the meter.

  5. Connect the Neutral (N) output terminal of the meter to the Neutral wire of the electrical equipment/circuit you wish to monitor.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On

After successful installation and wiring, restore power to the circuit. The meter's LCD display will illuminate and begin showing the total accumulated energy consumption in kWh.

5.2 Reading the Display

The SS766N meter is designed to display only the total energy consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). There are no other parameters or modes to cycle through.

Important Note on Memory Function: The meter's total energy consumption value cannot be reset to zero after it has started recording. This feature ensures continuous and cumulative tracking of energy usage.
