Introduction

The Redstone Series features Hybrid-FX flame technology, offering realistic flame effects with enhanced height and a vertical viewing area. It includes both a driftwood log set and a crystal ember media kit, allowing for customizable aesthetics. The unit provides 10 flame colors, RGB up-lighting, and downlighting. A supplemental heater is integrated, capable of heating spaces up to 400 sq. ft. with a 5,000 BTU/hour output, and includes a thermostat for temperature control.

Safety Information

• Read all instructions before using this fireplace.
• Do not operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater has malfunctioned, been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the fireplace.
• Always unplug the fireplace when not in use.

Setup and Installation

The Redstone series is designed for ease of installation, suitable for built-in applications.

Installation Requirements:

• The unit can be slid into an existing Zero Clearance wood-burning fireplace opening.
• Alternatively, it can be built into a wall. For a built-in flush mount look, a minimum depth of 10 inches within the wall is required.
• Finish Trim Kits are included to ensure a seamless finished installation.

Media Kit Installation:

The Redstone series comes with both a driftwood log set and a crystal ember media kit. You can choose to install either or combine them to achieve your desired aesthetic. Refer to the separate media kit instructions for detailed placement.

Operating Instructions

Your Modern Flames Redstone fireplace can be operated using the included remote control or the integrated control buttons located on the unit.

Control Features:

• Power On/Off: Activates or deactivates the unit.
• Flame Technology: Utilizes Hybrid-FX for realistic flame effects.
• Flame Colors: Select from 10 unique flame colors to match your ambiance.
• Lighting: Adjust RGB up-lighting and downlighting.
• Heater: Activate the supplemental heater (5,000 BTU/hour) for warmth.
• Thermostat: Set your desired room temperature. The unit will automatically maintain it.

Remote Control:

For direct control, buttons are located on the unit itself, typically along the top edge. These buttons replicate the functions available on the remote control.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your electric fireplace.

• Cleaning: Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Air Intake/Outlet: Periodically check and clean the air intake and outlet vents to prevent dust buildup, which can affect heating efficiency.
• Light Bulbs: If the flame effect dims or stops working, consult the troubleshooting section or contact support for potential light bulb replacement instructions.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fireplace, refer to the common problems and solutions below. If the problem persists, contact customer support.

• No Power: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check the circuit breaker.
• No Heat: Verify the heater function is activated and the thermostat is set above the current room temperature. Check for any obstructions in the heater vents.
• Flame Effect Not Working: Check if the flame effect is turned on. If applicable, ensure any internal light bulbs are functioning correctly.
• Remote Control Not Responding: Replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace's sensor.
