6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Battery Care: Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases. If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the remote control or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage internal components.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Angrox remote control, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Remote Not Responding:
    • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
    • Replace old batteries with new AAA batteries.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the TV's infrared receiver.
    • Confirm that the remote is pointed directly at the TV.
  • Specific Buttons Not Working:
    • Clean around the button to ensure no debris is preventing it from pressing correctly.
    • If only shortcut buttons are not working, ensure the corresponding apps are installed and updated on your Roku TV.
  • Remote Controls Other Devices:
    • This remote is designed for Roku TVs. If it is inadvertently controlling other IR-enabled devices, ensure you are pointing it specifically at your Roku TV.
  • Remote Still Not Working:
    • Verify that your TV is indeed a Roku TV model and not a Roku streaming device (stick, box, etc.) as this remote is not compatible with streaming devices.
    • If all troubleshooting steps fail, consider contacting customer support.
