2. Setup Guide

2.1 Mouse Components

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse.

  1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the mouse's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator light will flash green. Once fully charged (approximately 2-3 hours), the light will remain solid green.

2.3 Connecting the Mouse

The M501 supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired.

2.3.1 2.4GHz Wireless Mode

  1. Locate the USB receiver stored in the magnetic compartment on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Slide the mode switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "2.4G" position.
  4. The mouse should connect automatically.

2.3.2 Bluetooth Mode (BT1 / BT2)

The mouse supports two separate Bluetooth connections (BT1 and BT2).

  1. Slide the mode switch on the bottom of the mouse to either "BT1" or "BT2" position.
  2. The mouse's indicator light will start flashing, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (PC, laptop, tablet), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select "FMOUSE M501" (or similar name) from the list of available devices to pair.
  5. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing.
  6. To switch between BT1 and BT2, simply move the switch to the desired Bluetooth channel.

2.3.3 Wired Mode

  1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the mouse's front port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on your computer.
  3. The mouse will automatically switch to wired mode and can be used while charging.

3. Operating the Mouse

3.1 DPI Adjustment

The mouse features 5 adjustable DPI levels (800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12000 DPI).

  • Press the DPI Switch button (button 6 in the diagram) located behind the scroll wheel to cycle through the DPI settings.
  • Each DPI level may be indicated by a different LED color on the mouse (e.g., 800dpi, 1600dpi, 3200dpi, 6400dpi, 12000dpi).

3.2 Report Rate

The mouse supports different report rates depending on the connection mode:

  • Wired Mode: 1000Hz
  • 2.4GHz Wireless Mode: 1000Hz
  • Bluetooth Mode: 125Hz

Higher report rates provide more responsive tracking, which is beneficial for gaming.

3.3 RGB Lighting

5.3 Power Saving

The mouse automatically enters hibernation mode when idle to conserve battery power. It will wake up instantly upon movement.
