3.1 Battery Installation

The weather station and outdoor sensor are battery-powered, allowing for flexible placement. Batteries are not included.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit.
  2. Insert 4x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the outdoor sensor.

Note: Ensure fresh batteries are used for optimal performance. High battery consumption may require replacement approximately every 6 months.

3.2 Initial Synchronization

After battery installation, the main unit will automatically attempt to synchronize with the outdoor sensor and receive the DCF77 radio signal for time setting.

  • Place the outdoor sensor within range of the main unit (ensure no major obstructions).
  • The main unit will display outdoor temperature once synchronized. If synchronization fails, reposition the outdoor sensor or restart both devices by removing and reinserting batteries.
  • The radio-controlled time signal (DCF77) will automatically set the correct time, including summer and winter time adjustments. This process may take several minutes.

3.3 Manual Time Setting

If the radio signal is unavailable (e.g., in areas with poor reception), the time can be set manually.

  • Refer to the detailed instructions in the operating section for manual time and date adjustments.

  • Display Difficult to Read:
    - Activate the backlight by pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT button.
    - Ensure the unit is viewed from an appropriate angle.
  • Inaccurate Temperature/Humidity Readings:
    - Ensure the outdoor sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
    - Ensure the main unit is not near heat sources or in direct drafts.
  • High Battery Consumption:
