1. Product Overview

The KEPEAK Rechargeable LED Work Light is a versatile lighting tool designed for various applications, including car repair, camping, emergencies, and general outdoor use. It features multiple lighting modes, a 180-degree rotating head, a strong magnetic base, and a retractable hanging hook for hands-free operation.

This work light is equipped with both LED flashlight and COB work light sources, offering a range of illumination options. Its built-in rechargeable battery provides extended use, and the Type-C input allows for convenient charging, while the USB output port enables it to function as an emergency power bank.

  • Front Light (XPE): Located at the tip of the light bar.
  • Inside COB Light (Yellow): Main light strip on the inner side of the rotating head.
  • Outside COB Light (White + Red): Main light strip on the outer side of the rotating head.
  • Power Switch: Button to cycle through lighting modes and turn off the device.
  • Power Display: LED indicators showing battery level.

2. Setup and Initial Use

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the KEPEAK Rechargeable LED Work Light and its accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present:

  • 1x Rechargeable Work Light
  • 1x Type-C Charging Cable
  • 1x English User Guide

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the work light. The device comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.

  1. Locate the Type-C input port on the side of the work light, usually protected by a rubber flap.
  2. Open the rubber flap and insert the Type-C end of the charging cable into the port.
  3. Connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port, power bank).
  4. The power indicator LEDs will illuminate to show the charging status. All four LEDs will be solid when fully charged.
  5. A full charge from 0% to 100% typically takes approximately 3 hours.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The work light features a single power switch button to control all lighting modes.

  1. To Turn On: Press the power switch button once. The light will typically start in the COB Yellow High mode.
  2. To Cycle Modes: Press the power switch button repeatedly to cycle through the 7 available lighting modes in the following order:
    • COB Yellow Light (High)
    • COB Yellow Light (Low)
    • Front Light (XPE)
    • COB White Light (High)
    • COB White Light (Low)
    • COB Red Light (High)
    • COB Red Light (Flashing)
  3. To Turn Off: Long press the power switch button for approximately 5 seconds from any mode to turn the light off directly. Alternatively, cycle through all modes, and the light will turn off after the last mode.

3.2 Adjusting Light Angle and Positioning

The work light offers multiple ways to position and direct illumination:

  • 180° Rotation: The light bar can be rotated 180 degrees relative to the handle, allowing you to direct light precisely where needed.
  • Magnetic Base: The strong magnet at the base allows the light to be securely attached to any ferrous metal surface, providing hands-free lighting.
  • Hanging Hook: A retractable stainless steel hook is integrated into the base. Pull it out to hang the light from hooks, branches, or other suitable fixtures.
  • ABS Clamp: Use the integrated clamp to attach the light to belts, pockets, or other thin objects.

3.3 Using as a Power Bank

The work light can provide emergency power to charge other devices.

  1. Locate the USB output port next to the Type-C input port.
  2. Connect your device's charging cable (USB-A end) to the work light's USB output port.
  3. Connect the other end of your cable to the device you wish to charge.
  4. The work light will begin charging your device. Note that using this feature will deplete the work light's battery.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and appearance:

  • Wipe the surface of the work light with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Ensure the charging ports are free from dust and debris.

4.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life:

  • Charge the battery fully before long-term storage.
  • If storing for extended periods, recharge the battery every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures.

4.3 Water Resistance

The work light is rated IPX4 waterproof, meaning it is resistant to splashing water from any direction. It is not designed for submersion in water.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Check the power indicator.
    • Press the power switch firmly.
  • Light does not charge:
    • Verify the Type-C cable is securely connected to both the light and the power source.
    • Try a different Type-C cable or USB power adapter.
    • Ensure the power source is functional.
  • Battery life is shorter than expected:
    • Battery life varies depending on the selected brightness mode. Higher brightness modes consume more power.
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
    • Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance.
  • USB output not charging external devices:
    • Ensure the work light has sufficient battery charge.
    • Verify the USB cable connecting to the external device is functional and properly connected.
