SimPure Y7P-W UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter Instruction Manual

Introduction

The SimPure Y7P-W is a UV countertop reverse osmosis water filter system designed to provide purified drinking water. It features a 5-stage RO filtration system combined with UV purification, certified against NSF/ANSI 58 Standard. This system effectively removes 99.99% of over 1,000 contaminants, including heavy metals, chlorine, and TDS, from tap or well water (TDS < 500 ppm).

The system offers a high water utilization rate with a 4:1 pure to drain ratio and requires no installation, allowing for flexible placement in various environments such as homes, apartments, offices, or RVs.

Setup

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. The filters are pre-installed. Remove any foam pieces or protective coverings used for shipping.
  2. Place the Unit: Position the SimPure Y7P-W on a stable, flat surface with access to a power supply. Ensure adequate clearance for the water tank and dispensing.
  3. Fill the Feed Water Tank: Lift out the feed water tank and fill it with tap water. Place it back into the unit.
  4. Initial Flushing: Before first use, the system must be flushed to ensure optimal performance and taste. Press the 'Flushing' button on the control panel. Allow the system to complete 3 to 5 flushing cycles. Empty the waste water tank after each cycle.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Plug the system into a power outlet. The unit will automatically power on.
  2. Dispensing Water: Place a cup or container on the drip tray. Select the desired water volume (e.g., 6 oz, 12 oz, 15 oz) by pressing the corresponding button on the control panel. For continuous dispensing, press the 'Flushing' button once to start and again to stop.
  3. UV Purification: The integrated UV purification system activates automatically before dispensing water, ensuring an additional layer of purification.

Maintenance

Filter Replacement

The SimPure Y7P-W uses quick-change twist filter cartridges. The Composite Filter (CF) and RO Filter typically last for 6 months or 528 gallons, depending on water quality and usage.

  1. Unplug the System: Always unplug the system from the power outlet before replacing filters.
  2. Remove Filters: Open the filter compartment cover. Twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise and pull it out.
  3. Install New Filters: Insert the new filter cartridge into the correct position, twist it clockwise until you hear a click. Ensure the 'OPEN' and 'CLOSE' indicators align correctly.
  4. Reset Filter Life: After replacing a filter, press and hold the corresponding filter indicator button on the control panel for 3 seconds to reset the filter life counter.

Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the feed water tank and drip tray is recommended to maintain hygiene and performance. The mesh filter in the feed water tank should be rinsed monthly.
