Introduction

The Kreg Cabinet Installation System KCS-100 is designed to simplify the process of installing wall cabinets. This system allows for precise positioning, alignment, and fastening, enabling one-person installation for shorter cabinet runs and compact wall layouts. It temporarily holds cabinets in place, supports controlled height adjustment for leveling, and creates a secure reference line for placement.

Setup

1. Prepare the Wall

  1. Locate Wall Studs: Use a stud finder to accurately locate and mark the center of wall studs where cabinets will be installed.
  2. Mark Reference Line: Determine the desired height for the top of your cabinets and draw a level reference line across the wall. This line will guide the placement of the wall mounting system.

2. Install Wall Mounting System

  1. Attach Wall Brackets: Align the top edge of the wall brackets with your reference line. Secure the wall brackets to the wall studs using the provided screws. Ensure they are firmly attached and level.
  2. Assemble Wall Rail: The system arrives in 2-foot sections. Connect these sections to form the desired length of your wall rail, up to 8 feet.
  3. Mount Wall Rail: Place the assembled wall rail onto the installed wall brackets. The design allows for a flush mount against the wall.

Operation

1. Attach Cabinet Brackets

  1. Position Brackets: Secure the cabinet brackets to the top edge of each cabinet. Ensure they are evenly spaced and aligned for proper hanging.
  2. Fasten Brackets: Use the appropriate screws to firmly attach the cabinet brackets to the cabinet frame.

2. Hang Cabinets

  1. Lift and Engage: Carefully lift each cabinet and engage its attached brackets with the installed wall rail. The system is designed to temporarily hold the cabinet in place.

3. Adjust and Align

  1. Fine-tune Position: Once hung, the cabinets can be slid horizontally along the rail for precise positioning.
  2. Adjust Height: Utilize the adjustable hanging mechanism to achieve accurate cabinet leveling and consistent spacing between cabinets.

4. Secure Cabinets

  1. Fasten to Wall Studs: Once all cabinets are positioned and leveled, secure them permanently to the wall studs through the cabinet backs using appropriate screws.
  2. Join Cabinets: If installing multiple cabinets, join them together using cabinet screws for added stability and a seamless appearance.
