2. Safety Information

  • Always keep the emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

  1. Carefully remove the safe from its packaging.
  2. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. If damage is found, contact customer support immediately.
  3. Locate the emergency keys and external battery pack. Store the emergency keys in a safe place away from the safe.

5.2 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for operation. The battery compartment is typically located on the inside of the safe door or on the control panel.

  1. Open the safe using the emergency key (refer to Section 5.3).
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.3 Emergency Key Access

The emergency key provides manual access to the safe, especially useful for initial setup or if batteries are depleted.

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a cover on the control panel.
  2. Insert the emergency key and turn it.
  3. Simultaneously turn the handle (if applicable) or pull the door open.

5.4 Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor using the provided expansion screws.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting, such as inside a closet or against a sturdy wall.
  2. The safe has pre-drilled mounting holes in the back. Mark the drilling points on the wall or floor through these holes.
  3. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the expansion screws. Ensure all screws are tightened firmly.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Initial Access and Default Password

Upon first use, open the safe using the emergency key. The default password is typically '1234' or '123456'. It is crucial to change this immediately.

6.2 Setting a New Digital Password

  1. With the safe door open, press the internal reset button (usually a small button on the inside of the door or near the battery compartment). The indicator light will flash.
  2. On the keypad, enter your desired new password (4-8 digits) and press '#'.
  3. Re-enter the new password and press '#' to confirm. The indicator light will confirm successful programming.

6.3 Registering Fingerprints

The safe can store up to 30 unique fingerprints.

  1. With the safe door open, press the internal reset button.
  2. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. The safe will prompt you to lift and place your finger multiple times from different angles until registration is complete.
  3. Repeat for additional fingerprints as needed.

6.4 Opening the Safe

  • Using Fingerprint: Place a registered finger on the sensor. If recognized, the safe will automatically open.
  • Using Digital Password: Enter your password on the keypad, followed by '#'. The safe will automatically open. Utilize the virtual password feature by entering up to 24 random digits before or after your actual password to obscure it.
  • Using Emergency Key: Refer to Section 5.3.

6.5 Closing the Safe

Simply push the safe door closed. The automatic closing mechanism will engage, securing the door bolts.

6.6 Anti-Theft Alarm

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system. If the safe detects unauthorized movement or repeated incorrect access attempts, an alarm will sound. To silence the alarm, use a valid fingerprint, digital password, or emergency key.

7. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator lights up, replace all 4 AA batteries promptly. If batteries die completely, use the external battery pack or emergency key for access.
  • External Battery Pack: If the internal batteries are depleted, connect the external battery pack to the port on the control panel to power the safe temporarily and gain access.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the fingerprint sensor and keypad free of dust and debris.
  • Key Storage: Always store emergency keys in a secure, separate location, not inside the safe.
