1. Important Safety Information

This SR SUN RISE Shower System is designed and manufactured to meet high safety and quality standards. Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use.

• Certification: This product is cUPC certified and compliant with ASME A112.18.1-2018/CSA B125.1-18 standard. It is also approved by the California Energy Commission.
• Water Temperature: The cUPC certification ensures a safe water temperature in the shower to prevent scalding or discomfort.
• Professional Installation: For optimal performance and safety, professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before beginning installation. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer service.

3. Installation Instructions

This shower system is designed for wall-mounted installation and uses standard 1/2" U.S. plumbing connections. Ensure proper rough-in and secure mounting for safe and reliable operation.

3.1 Rough-in Valve Installation

1. Prepare Wall Opening: Create an opening in the wall suitable for the rough-in valve. The solid brass rough-in valve includes an embedded box to assist with installation and ensure proper depth.
2. Connect Water Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines (NPT 1/2") to the designated inlets on the rough-in valve. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight.
3. Connect Shower Outlets: Connect the fixed shower head connector (NPT 1/2") and the hand shower connection (NPT 1/2") to the respective outlets on the valve.
4. Secure Valve: Mount the rough-in valve securely within the wall opening using appropriate fasteners. Ensure it is level and at the correct depth for the trim installation.

3.2 Shower Arm and Head Installation

1. Install Shower Arm: Thread the wall-mounted shower arm into the fixed shower head connector. Apply plumber's tape to threads for a watertight seal.
2. Attach Rain Shower Head: Securely attach the 12-inch rain shower head to the shower arm. Ensure it is tightened sufficiently to prevent leaks.

3.3 Handheld Shower Installation

1. Install Hand Shower Holder: Mount the adjustable shower bracket/holder at a convenient height on the wall.
2. Connect Shower Hose: Attach one end of the shower hose to the hand shower connection on the valve and the other end to the handheld shower head.

3.4 Final Assembly

1. Install Trim Plate and Handle: Once all internal connections are made and tested, install the decorative trim plate and the main control handle onto the rough-in valve.
2. Test System: Turn on the main water supply and carefully check for any leaks. Test all functions of the shower system.

4. Operation Guide

The SR SUN RISE Shower System offers a versatile and user-friendly showering experience.

4.1 Water Flow and Temperature Control

• Main Handle: The main handle controls both water flow and temperature.
• Adjusting Flow: Twist the handle left or right to turn on the water flow and adjust its intensity.
• Adjusting Temperature: Turn the handle towards the red indicator for hotter water and towards the blue indicator for colder water. The pressure balance valve maintains a constant temperature, protecting against sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure.

4.2 Push Button Diverter and 3-Mode Shower Experience

The upgraded push-button diverter allows for easy switching between shower functions, even with soapy hands, thanks to its non-slip design.

• Rain Shower Only: Press the button with the rain shower icon to activate the 12-inch rain shower head. The ultra-thin design and Air Energy Technology provide a high-pressure rainfall experience.
• Handheld Shower Only: Press the button with the handheld shower icon to activate the handheld spray. This is ideal for targeted rinsing or cleaning.
• Both Simultaneously: This system allows for both the rain shower and handheld shower to operate at the same time, providing a comprehensive showering experience.

5. Maintenance and Care

Regular cleaning and proper care will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SR SUN RISE Shower System.

5.1 Cleaning the Shower Heads

• Easy-to-Clean Nozzles: Both the rain shower head and the handheld shower wand are equipped with TRP soft rubber nozzles. These are designed to prevent clogging and can be easily cleaned by gently rubbing them to dislodge mineral buildup.
• Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the nozzles to maintain consistent water flow and prevent blockages.

5.2 Finish Care (Polished Chrome)

• Gentle Cleaning: Clean the polished chrome finish with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
• Waterproof and Rust Prevention: The shower trim kit is covered with 4 layers of coating (Antifouling, Rust-resistant, Anti-corrosion, Precision Plating) for enhanced durability and resistance to water stains and rust.
• Drying: Wipe the surface dry after each use to prevent water spots and maintain its shine.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your shower system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps.

6.1 Low Water Pressure

• Check Nozzles: Ensure the soft rubber nozzles on both the rain shower head and handheld shower are free from mineral buildup. Clean them as described in the Maintenance section.
• Water Supply: Verify that the main water supply valve is fully open.
• Air Energy Technology: The rain shower head utilizes Air Energy Technology to provide high water pressure even in low water pressure environments. If pressure is still low, check for blockages in the supply lines.

6.2 Water Hammer Noise

• Pressure Balance Valve: The system's pressure balance valve is equipped with two built-in check valves designed to effectively eliminate water hammer noise.
• Check Installation: Ensure all pipes are securely fastened and not vibrating against walls or other structures.

6.3 Diverter Not Functioning Correctly

• Button Engagement: Ensure the push buttons are fully engaged when pressed.
• Internal Mechanism: If the diverter buttons become stiff or unresponsive over time, it may indicate mineral buildup or wear in the internal mechanism. In such cases, contact customer support for assistance or replacement parts.
