5.1. Cleaning

  • Clean the exterior of the brushcutter with a damp cloth.
  • Remove any grass, dirt, or debris from the cutting head, guard, and engine cooling fins.
  • Ensure the air intake is clear of obstructions.

  • Check the air filter regularly (e.g., every 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions).
  • Clean the foam element with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely. Lightly oil the foam element with clean engine oil before reinstallation.
  • Clean the felt element by tapping it gently or using compressed air. Do not wash.
  • Replace the air filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty and cannot be cleaned.

5.3. Spark Plug

  • Inspect the spark plug every 25 hours of operation.
  • Clean any carbon deposits from the electrodes using a wire brush.
  • Check the electrode gap and adjust if necessary (refer to the full manual for specific gap size).
  • Replace the spark plug annually or if it shows signs of wear or damage.

5.4. Cutting Head Maintenance

  • For the nylon line head, replace the line when it becomes too short or worn.
  • For the cutting disc, inspect for cracks, bends, or dullness. Sharpen or replace the disc as needed.
