2. Important Safety Instructions

Controls and Indicators:

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or stickers.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and non-flammable surface, away from curtains, walls, or other flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the toaster.
- First Use (Conditioning): Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (6) for a few minutes. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate odors. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this initial use. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your toaster:
- Insert Bread: Place up to four slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the extra-wide toasting slots. Ensure items are centered and do not touch the heating elements.
- Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting (1 for lightest, 6 for darkest). Note that the toaster has dual controls, allowing independent browning settings for each pair of slots.
- Lower Toast Lever: Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin, and the indicator light will illuminate.
- Use Special Functions (Optional):
- Defrost: If toasting frozen items, press the "Defrost" button after lowering the lever. The defrost indicator will light up.
- Bagel: For bagels, press the "Bagel" button after lowering the lever. This function toasts the cut side of bagels while warming the outer side. The bagel indicator will light up.
- Reheat: To reheat previously toasted items without further browning, press the "Reheat" button after lowering the lever. The reheat indicator will light up.
- Cancel Toasting: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the "Cancel" button. The toast will automatically pop up.
- Retrieve Toast: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up. The high-lift lever allows for easy retrieval of smaller items.

6. Maintenance & Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Crumb Trays: Pull out the removable crumb trays located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the trays with a damp cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reinserting.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
