General Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating noisy tools. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing, jewelry, or long hair that can get caught in moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Specific Scroll Saw Safety: Ensure the blade is properly installed and tensioned before operation. Keep hands clear of the blade path. Use the hold-down foot clamp to secure workpieces.
- Specific Sander Safety: Ensure the belt and disc are securely attached. Do not sand materials containing nails or foreign objects. Always use the work table and miter gauge for stability.

Operating Instructions
WEN 3923 Scroll Saw Operation
- Power On/Off: Use the ON/OFF switch to start and stop the saw.
- Variable Speed Control: Adjust the speed knob to select between 550 and 1600 strokes per minute, suitable for different materials and cutting intricacies.
- Angled Cuts: Loosen the table lock knob and tilt the 16.25-by-10-inch table up to 45 degrees for bevel cuts. Re-tighten the knob securely.
- Workpiece Handling: Place the workpiece flat on the table. Use the hold-down foot clamp to secure it firmly against the table, preventing vibration and lifting during cuts.
- Cutting: Guide the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade. Do not force the material. Allow the blade to do the work.

WEN 6502T Belt and Disc Sander Operation
- Power On/Off: Use the ON/OFF switch to operate the sander.
- Belt Sanding:
- The 4x36-inch belt can be used horizontally or tilted vertically up to 90 degrees for various sanding tasks. Adjust the belt angle using the locking mechanism.
- Apply light, even pressure when sanding. Move the workpiece consistently across the belt to prevent uneven wear and gouging.
- Disc Sanding:
- Use the 6-inch disc for shaping and smoothing. The cast-aluminum work table provides support.
- For precise angles, utilize the miter gauge by sliding it into the table's groove.
- Always sand on the downward-rotating side of the disc to prevent the workpiece from being thrown upwards.
- Stop Bar: Use the stop bar for safety and control, especially when sanding smaller pieces.

- Sander Belt/Disc Replacement: Replace worn sanding belts and discs to maintain sanding efficiency and quality. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper replacement.
- Lubrication: Periodically check for any lubrication points specified in the full product manual (if available) and apply appropriate lubricant.
- Inspection: Routinely inspect power cords, switches, and all moving parts for wear or damage. Replace damaged components immediately.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scroll Saw: Blade breaks frequently | Incorrect blade tension, forcing the workpiece, wrong blade type for material. | Adjust blade tension. Reduce feed pressure. Use appropriate blade for material thickness and type. |
| Scroll Saw: Inaccurate cuts | Loose blade, worn blade, table not square to blade. | Check blade tension. Replace blade. Verify table squareness and adjust if necessary. |
| Sander: Poor sanding performance | Worn belt/disc, incorrect grit, excessive pressure. | Replace sanding belt/disc. Use appropriate grit for the task. Apply lighter, even pressure. |
| Sander: Excessive vibration | Loose mounting, unbalanced belt/disc, damaged components. | Ensure sander is securely mounted. Check belt/disc for damage or improper installation. |
| Both Tools: Motor does not start | No power, faulty switch, internal wiring issue. | Check power supply and circuit breaker. Ensure tool is plugged in. Contact customer support if issues persist. |
