2. Setup

2.1 What's in the Box

2.2 Battery Installation

Ensure the radio is powered off. Align the battery pack with the compartment on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks securely. To remove, press the release latch and slide the battery out.

2.3 Charging the Radio

Connect the power adapter to a suitable power outlet and then to the radio's charging port. The charging indicator will illuminate. A full charge typically takes approximately 5 hours, providing up to 10 hours of continuous use and 60 hours of standby time.

2.4 Antenna Attachment

Screw the antenna clockwise onto the connector at the top of the radio until it is firmly seated. Do not overtighten.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Rotate the power/volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Rotate it counter-clockwise until it clicks to turn the radio off.

3.2 Channel Selection

Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to navigate through the 88 available channels. The selected channel number will be displayed on the LCD screen.

3.3 Volume Adjustment

Adjust the volume by rotating the power/volume knob. Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.

Press the dedicated '16/C' button to quickly access Channel 16, the international marine emergency channel, for urgent communications.

3.7 Dual/Tri-Watch

The Dual-Watch and Tri-Watch functions allow monitoring of Channel 16 and one or two other selected channels simultaneously. This ensures you don't miss important calls while monitoring other frequencies.

3.8 Weather Alerts

3.9 Key Lock

4. Maintenance
