4. Installation

4.1. Before You Begin
- Ensure power to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Gather necessary tools: measuring tape, level, drill, screwdriver, stud finder, safety glasses.
- Review local building and electrical codes. Professional installation is recommended.
- Unpack the cabinet and inspect for any damage. Keep all packaging until installation is complete.
4.2. Surface Mounting
Surface mounting involves attaching the cabinet directly to the wall surface.

- Determine the desired mounting height and location on the wall. Use a level to mark the top and side edges of the cabinet.
- Locate wall studs for secure mounting. If studs are not available, use appropriate wall anchors (not included).
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Carefully lift the cabinet and align the mounting holes with the drilled holes.
- Secure the cabinet to the wall using screws, ensuring it is level and stable.
- Connect the electrical wiring according to local codes.
4.3. Recessed Mounting
Recessed mounting involves embedding the cabinet into the wall for a flush appearance, with approximately 1 inch protrusion for easy door opening.

- Identify a suitable wall cavity. The rough opening dimensions should accommodate the cabinet's recessed body.
- Carefully cut an opening in the wall according to the cabinet's recessed dimensions. Ensure no electrical wires or plumbing are in the way.
- Run electrical wiring to the rough opening.
- Insert the cabinet into the wall opening.
- Secure the cabinet to the wall studs or framing within the opening using appropriate fasteners.
- Connect the electrical wiring according to local codes.
5. Operation
The ExBrite Lighted Medicine Cabinet features intuitive touch controls for its various functions.
5.1. Lighting Control (Brightness & Color Temperature)
The mirror features touch sensors for controlling the integrated LED lighting.

- Power On/Off: Tap the power icon on the mirror to turn the main light on or off.
- Adjust Color Temperature: Long press the color temperature icon (e.g., three color blocks) to cycle through 3000K (Warm White), 4500K (Natural White), and 6400K (Cool White). Release at your desired setting.
- Adjust Brightness (Dimming): Long press the brightness icon (e.g., sun symbol) to adjust the light intensity from 10% to 100%. Release at your desired brightness level.
- Memory Function: The cabinet will remember your last brightness and color temperature settings when turned off and on again.
5.2. Defog Function
Activate the defogger to maintain a clear mirror surface in steamy conditions.

- Activate Defog: Tap the defog icon (e.g., wavy lines) on the mirror. The icon will illuminate to indicate activation.
- Automatic Shut-off: The defog function will automatically turn off after 30 minutes to conserve energy. You can manually turn it off by tapping the icon again.
5.3. Night Light
The integrated night light provides a soft, warm glow for nighttime visibility.

- The night light typically operates independently or can be activated via a dedicated sensor/switch (refer to specific product labeling if present). It emits a 3000K yellow light.
5.4. Internal Outlets & USB Ports

- Do not plug in high-power appliances like hair dryers into these internal outlets.
6. Adjustable Shelves and Storage
The cabinet is designed with both internal and external storage solutions to maximize organization.
6.1. Adjustable Glass Shelves
- The three 8mm thick mirrored glass shelves can be adjusted to different heights to accommodate various item sizes.
- To adjust, carefully lift the shelf, remove the shelf clips, reposition the clips to the desired height, and then place the shelf back onto the clips.
- Each shelf has a weight limit of 11 pounds. Do not exceed this limit to prevent damage or injury.
6.2. External Storage
- An open storage space is located beneath the main cabinet, ideal for quick access to frequently used daily items.
7. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your medicine cabinet.
- Cleaning the Mirror: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Spray cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the mirror, to prevent liquid from seeping into the edges.
- Cleaning the Cabinet Body: Wipe the exterior and interior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn spots, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Dry thoroughly.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia-based products, or solvents, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
- Electrical Components: Ensure the cabinet is unplugged before cleaning any electrical components or near outlets/USB ports. Keep these areas dry.
- Hinges: Periodically check hinges for smooth operation. If necessary, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant.
