2. Product Overview

3. Installation

3.1 Safety Precautions

• Ensure power is turned off at the main circuit breaker before beginning installation.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
• Do not install the thermostat in locations exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or near heat sources.

3.2 Wiring Diagram

3.3 Placement Guidelines

For optimal performance, install the thermostat on an interior wall, approximately 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor. Avoid installing it in wall corners, near doors/windows, behind doors, or in unheated areas like exterior walls. Keep it away from hot/cold air ducts, radiators, flues, or thermal pipes.

3.4 Heating System Compatibility

The thermostat is compatible with various heating systems, including water-hung boiler heating and water floor heating systems.

4. Operation Modes

The thermostat offers three primary working modes:

• Automatic Mode: The thermostat maintains the set temperature based on its internal NTC sensor. If the actual temperature is lower than the set temperature, the heating contact closes (heating activates). If higher, the cooling contact closes (cooling activates, if applicable).
• Holiday Mode: This mode allows you to set a specific duration (1 to 30 days) during which the thermostat operates at a pre-defined holiday temperature. After the set period, it automatically returns to Automatic Mode. To access, long press the appropriate button (refer to on-screen prompts).
• Temporary Manual Mode: While in Automatic Mode and unlocked, you can temporarily adjust the temperature. The thermostat will maintain this new temperature until the next scheduled program change or until manually overridden.

5. Programming and Settings

5.1 Time Setting

Short press the SET button to cycle through setting options for Minute, Hour, and Week. Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust values.

5.2 Weekly Period Programming

The thermostat supports 6-period programming for 7 days. To access advanced options, power off the thermostat, then long press SET. Short press SET again to navigate to the 'AC' option, where you can choose between 5+2 (weekdays + weekend), 6+1 (weekdays + one weekend day), or 7-day programming modes. The default mode is 5+2.

5.3 Temperature Calibration

You can calibrate the temperature sensor accuracy between -9°C and +9°C. The temperature control return difference can be set between 0.5°C and 5°C.

5.4 Child Lock

To activate or deactivate the child lock, long press the OK button for 5 seconds. This prevents unauthorized changes to settings.

6. Wi-Fi and Voice Control

The HY08WE-4 thermostat features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing remote control via a smartphone application. It also supports voice control through compatible smart home devices.
