Setup Guide
1. Charging the Devices
Ensure both the transmitters (TX) and the receiver (RX) are fully charged before first use. Use the provided 2-in-1 charging cable to charge all units simultaneously. A full charge typically takes 1.5 hours and provides up to 8 hours of operation.

2. Connecting to Your Device
The C2X system supports various devices. Select the appropriate cable for your recording equipment.
For Cameras/Camcorders:
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm TRS Camera Cable to the "OUT" port on the Moman C2X Receiver.
- Connect the other end of the 3.5mm TRS Camera Cable to the microphone input jack on your DSLR camera or camcorder.

For Smartphones/Tablets:
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm TRRS Smartphone Cable to the "OUT" port on the Moman C2X Receiver.
- Connect the other end of the 3.5mm TRRS Smartphone Cable to the headphone/microphone jack of your smartphone or tablet.
- For Apple devices without a 3.5mm jack, use the provided Type-C to Lightning Adapter (if applicable, or a separate Lightning to 3.5mm adapter).
3. Attaching the Transmitters
The transmitters can be used with their built-in omnidirectional microphones or with the external lavalier microphones.
- Using Built-in Mic: Clip the transmitter directly onto clothing, ensuring the built-in microphone faces the sound source. For optimal sound, attach it near the collar or lapel.
- Using External Lav Mic: Plug the external lavalier microphone into the 3.5mm MIC input on the transmitter. Attach the lavalier microphone to clothing and clip the transmitter to a belt or pocket. Use the included wind muff for outdoor recording to reduce wind noise.
- Magnetic Attachment: For discreet placement, use the included magnets to secure the transmitter under clothing.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Press and hold the power button on each Transmitter (TX) and the Receiver (RX) for 2-3 seconds to power them on.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.
2. Pairing
The C2X system is designed for automatic pairing upon power-on. If pairing is lost or you need to re-pair:
- Ensure both TX and RX units are powered on and in close proximity.
- The units should automatically connect. The screen on the receiver will indicate successful connection.
3. Gain Control
Adjust the audio input level (gain) on the receiver to optimize sound quality and prevent distortion.
- The receiver features a 0-5 level gain control.
- Use the dedicated gain control buttons on the receiver to increase or decrease the audio level.
- Monitor the audio levels on the receiver's TFT screen to ensure they are within the optimal range (typically not peaking into the red).

4. Noise Reduction (Low-Cut Function)
The system includes a 150Hz low-cut function to eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise.
- Press the noise reduction button on the transmitter to activate or deactivate the low-cut filter.
- This feature is useful for reducing ambient sounds like wind, air conditioning hum, or traffic noise.
5. Audio Monitoring
For real-time audio monitoring, connect headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the receiver.
- This allows you to listen to the audio being recorded and make immediate adjustments to gain or placement.
6. Mute Function
- Press the mute button on the transmitter to temporarily stop audio transmission without powering off the unit.
- Press it again to unmute.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the units. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the microphone system in its carrying case in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the batteries to approximately 50% every three months to maintain battery health.
- Cable Care: Handle cables gently. Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No audio output | Units not powered on; Not paired; Incorrect cable connection; Muted transmitter; Low battery. | Ensure all units are powered on. Check pairing status. Verify cable connections (TRS/TRRS). Unmute transmitter. Charge units. |
| Distorted audio | Gain too high; Microphone too close to sound source; Interference. | Reduce gain on receiver. Adjust microphone placement. Move away from other wireless devices. |
| Weak or intermittent signal | Too far from receiver; Obstructions; Interference. | Reduce distance between TX and RX. Minimize obstructions. Change operating environment. |
| Excessive background noise | Low-cut filter off; Environmental noise; Microphone type. | Activate the noise reduction (low-cut) function. Use wind muff outdoors. Consider external lavalier mic for specific environments. |
