2. Product Overview

The FT70 Plus feeder features a 5-liter food storage capacity, suitable for dry pet food with kibble sizes between 2-15mm. It includes a secure twist-lock lid, a desiccant box to keep food fresh, and a patented rotor design for smooth food dispensing.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

1. Remove all components from the packaging.
2. Inspect the feeder for any damage.
3. Ensure all listed components are present.

3.2 Power Supply

The feeder supports dual power supply modes: AC adapter and D-cell batteries (not included) for backup.

• Primary Power: Connect the 5V power adapter to the feeder and a wall outlet.
• Backup Power: For uninterrupted operation during power outages, insert three (3) D-cell alkaline batteries into the battery compartment at the bottom of the feeder. Ensure correct polarity.

3.3 Loading Food

1. Open the top lid of the feeder.
2. Pour dry pet food into the food tank. Ensure kibble size is between 2-15mm to prevent jamming.
3. Close the lid securely, ensuring the twist-lock mechanism is engaged.

3.4 Desiccant Bag Installation

If not pre-installed, place the desiccant bag into its designated compartment under the lid to maintain food freshness.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Setting Meal Schedules

The feeder allows you to program up to 6 meals per day, with 1 to 8 portions per meal.

1. Press the 'SET' button to enter programming mode.
2. Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons to adjust the meal time (hour and minute).
3. Press 'SET' again to confirm the time and move to portion setting.
4. Use 'UP' and 'DOWN' to select the number of portions (1-8) for that meal.
5. Repeat for each desired meal (up to 6).
6. Exit programming mode by holding 'SET' or waiting for the display to time out.

4.2 Recording Voice Messages

Record a 10-second voice message to call your pet at meal times.

1. Press and hold the 'REC' button (microphone icon) on the control panel.
2. Speak clearly into the microphone for up to 10 seconds.
3. Release the 'REC' button to save the recording.
4. The recorded message will play automatically before each scheduled meal.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

• Disconnect the power adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.
• The food bowl and food tank can be removed and hand-washed with mild soap and water.
• Do not immerse the main feeder unit in water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and refilling with food.

5.2 Desiccant Bag Replacement

Replace the desiccant bag every 1-2 months to maintain optimal food freshness.

• Feeder not dispensing food:
  • Check if the food tank is empty.
  • Ensure kibble size is within the 2-15mm range to prevent blockages.
  • Verify that the feeder is powered on and schedules are correctly set.
• Feeder not powering on:

  • If using batteries, ensure they are new and inserted with correct polarity.
• Voice recording not playing:
