5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The device powers on automatically once batteries are inserted. There is no dedicated power button. To turn off, remove the batteries.

5.2 Temperature Display (°C/°F)

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units:

  • Press the "+/°C/°F" button on the right side of the main unit. The display will toggle between the two units for all temperature readings.

5.3 Min/Max Temperature Records

The main unit automatically records the minimum and maximum temperatures for the indoor sensor and both remote sensors over a 24-hour period. These values are displayed on the LCD screen.

  • The "MAX" value indicates the highest temperature recorded since the last reset.
  • The "MIN" value indicates the lowest temperature recorded since the last reset.

5.4 Clearing Min/Max Values

To manually reset the recorded minimum and maximum temperatures:

  • Press the "CLEAR" button on the right side of the main unit. This will clear all recorded MAX/MIN values, and the device will begin recording new extremes from the current temperature.

5.5 Setting Temperature Alarms

The thermometer features an acoustic alarm that activates if the temperature exceeds your preset minimum or maximum alarm settings for any of the three sensors (Indoor, Sensor 1, Sensor 2).

  1. Select Sensor for Alarm Setting:
    • Press the corresponding "ALARM SENSOR2", "ALARM SENSOR1", or "ALARM INDOOR" button on the left side of the main unit to select which sensor's alarm you wish to set or activate.
  2. Adjust Alarm Thresholds:
    • Once a sensor's alarm is selected (it might flash or an indicator appears), use the "+" (or "+/°C/°F") and "-" buttons to adjust the desired maximum and minimum temperature thresholds for that sensor.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the display indicators to set both the high and low alarm limits.
  3. Activate/Deactivate Alarm:
    • Press the respective "ALARM" button again to confirm the settings and activate the alarm for that sensor. Pressing it repeatedly might toggle the alarm on/off or cycle through settings.

When an alarm is triggered, an audible tone will sound, and the corresponding temperature reading on the display may flash.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water.
  • Ensure the units are dry before re-inserting batteries or placing them in use.

6.2 Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, a low battery indicator will appear on the LCD screen. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous and accurate operation.

  • Follow the battery installation steps (Section 4.1) to replace old batteries with new ones.
