2. Setup and Initial Operation

2.1 Initial Winding

Your Spinnaker Dumas watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement (Seiko NH35). It winds itself through the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, it may require manual winding to initiate operation.

1. Ensure the crown is in the fully pushed-in and screwed-down position.
2. Unscrew the crown by turning it counter-clockwise until it springs out to position 0.
3. In position 0, turn the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
4. Push the crown back in and screw it down tightly to maintain water resistance.

1. Unscrew the crown (position 0).

If the current time falls within this window, first set the time outside this range, then set the date, and finally reset the correct time.
3. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out further to position 2. The second hand will stop. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate AM/PM setting, advance the hands past 12 o'clock; if the date changes, it is midnight (AM). Continue to set the correct time.
4. Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 0 and screw it down tightly to ensure water resistance.
