3.1. 2.4GHz USB Wireless Mode
This mode offers low latency (≤20ms) and is suitable for PS4, PS5, Laptops, Mac, and PC. It provides an accessible connection up to 49 feet in an unobstructed space.
- Insert the USB wireless transmitter (dongle) into an available USB port on your device (PS4/PS5, PC, Mac, Laptop).
- Power on the headset. It should automatically pair with the USB dongle.
- On your device, ensure the audio output is set to the 'Gtheos Captain 300' or 'USB Headset'.
Note:
- External microphone functionality is not available on Nintendo Switch due to compatibility issues with the console model in 2.4GHz mode.
- This mode does not support Xbox consoles.

3.2. Bluetooth 5.3 Mode
This mode is for phones, tablets, and laptops/pads. It offers a wireless range of up to 10 meters.
- Power on the headset and activate Bluetooth pairing mode (refer to the operating instructions for specific steps).
- On your phone, tablet, or laptop, search for Bluetooth devices and select 'Gtheos Captain 300' to pair.
Note:

- Connect the other end to the 3.5mm audio port on your controller or device.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button on the headset for approximately 3 seconds to power it on or off. An indicator light will confirm the status.
Volume Control
Use the volume roller or buttons located on the earcup to adjust the audio output level.
Microphone Mute/Unmute
Press the microphone button on the earcup to mute or unmute the microphone. Ensure the microphone is unmuted for voice communication.
Lighting Effects
The headset features cool blue lighting effects. These lights consume battery power. To extend battery life (up to 35-40 hours), you can turn off the lighting effect. With the lighting effect turned on, battery life is approximately 15-20 hours.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your headset, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals. For ear cushions, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth if necessary, and allow to air dry completely before use.
Storage
Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the headset is fully charged before storage to preserve battery health.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound/Low Volume:
- Ensure the headset is powered on and properly connected (2.4GHz dongle, Bluetooth, or 3.5mm cable).
- Check the volume level on both the headset and your connected device.
- Verify that the correct audio output device is selected in your device's sound settings.
- Microphone Not Working:
- Ensure the microphone is securely attached and not muted (check the microphone button).
- For Nintendo Switch in 2.4GHz mode, the external microphone is not supported.
- Check your device's privacy settings to ensure microphone access is granted to applications.
- For Xbox controllers with a 3.5mm cable, an adapter (not included) might be necessary.
- Connectivity Issues (2.4GHz Wireless):
- Ensure the USB dongle is firmly inserted into a working USB port.
- Move closer to the USB dongle to rule out range issues.
- Avoid interference from other 2.4GHz devices.
- Bluetooth Pairing Failure:
- Ensure the headset is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your device.
- Forget previously paired devices on your phone/tablet and try pairing again.
- Echoing with Multiple Headsets:
- If using two Gtheos Captain 300 headsets in the same room, adjust microphone sensitivity settings on your console/PC to reduce echo.
- Consider muting your partner in party chat if the issue persists.
