3. Setup

Proper installation ensures optimal performance and comfort. The PACKTALK EDGE ORV offers flexible mounting options for various helmet types.

3.1 Mounting the Unit

The unit can be mounted using either the Clamp with Cradle or the Glue Plate. The magnetic Air-Mount system allows for easy attachment and detachment of the main unit from its cradle.

• Clamp Mount: Ideal for helmets with a suitable edge to secure the clamp.
• Glue Plate Mount: Recommended for helmets without a suitable clamp edge, using the provided adhesive.

3.2 Speaker and Microphone Installation

4. Operating the Device

4.3 Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC)

The DMC system allows for seamless group communication with up to 15 riders over a range of up to 1 mile (160934 cm). The mesh network automatically re-routes connections, ensuring continuous communication even if a rider leaves or rejoins the group. No cellular coverage is needed for intercom functionality.

4.4 Bluetooth Connectivity

Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to stream music, make and receive calls, and access GPS navigation audio. The device supports Bluetooth 5.2 for stable and efficient connections.
