Setup and Charging

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
2. Inspect Grinder Head: The electric grinder comes with a grinding head pre-installed. Ensure it is securely in place.
3. Remove Safety Cap: The grinder features a locking safety cap. To remove, twist and pull off the cap. There is also a second safety mechanism that unscrews and pops off, preventing accidental activation.
4. Charge the Grinder:
   • Locate the Type-C USB charging port at the bottom of the grinder.
   • Connect the provided Type-C USB charging cable to the grinder and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
   • The power percentage display will indicate charging status. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of use.

Operating Instructions

Familiarization and Preparation:

• Before first use, allow your pet to become accustomed to the grinder's sound and vibration. Turn the grinder on and let your pet sniff and investigate it without immediate use on their nails.
• Offer treats and praise to create a positive association with the grooming tool.
• Ensure your pet is calm and comfortable before beginning the grooming process.

Using the Nail Clipper:

For excessively long nails, it may be beneficial to use the nail clipper first to remove the bulk of the nail before refining with the grinder.

• The clipper features a safety guard to reduce the risk of cutting nails too short.
• A lock button helps secure the handle in a safe, closed position when not in use.
• Carefully trim only the tip of the nail, avoiding the quick (the pink part of the nail containing blood vessels and nerves).

Using the Electric Nail Grinder:

1. Turn On: Press and hold the paw-shaped power button for approximately 2 seconds to turn on the grinder.
2. Select Speed: The grinder has 3 speed settings. Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through low (L), medium (M), and high (H) speeds. Start with the lowest speed, especially for new users or sensitive pets.
3. Choose Grinding Port: The grinder head has three ports of varying sizes. Select the port that best fits your pet's nail size (small, medium, or large).

4. Activate LED Light: Press the light button at the bottom of the grinder to turn on the dual LED lights. These lights help illuminate the nail, making it easier to see the quick and prevent over-grinding.

5. Grind Nails: Gently place your pet's nail into the chosen grinding port. Hold the grinder at a 45-degree angle to the nail tip. Grind for only a few seconds at a time, then check the nail and the quick. Repeat as necessary for each nail.

6. Reward Your Pet: Throughout the grooming session, and especially upon completion, reward your pet with treats and praise to reinforce positive behavior. This helps them associate nail grooming with a positive experience.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Grinder: After each use, remove the safety cap and use the provided cleaning brush to remove any nail dust or debris from the grinding head and surrounding area. This ensures optimal performance and longevity.
• Replacing Grinding Heads: The kit includes additional grinding heads. If the current grinding head becomes worn or less effective, replace it by carefully unscrewing the old head and screwing on a new one.
