Introduction
The BETAFPV Cetus X 2S Brushless Drone is a high-performance FPV quadcopter designed for both indoor and outdoor flight. It features an ELRS V3 firmware, C04 FPV Camera, M04 25-400mW VTX, and an F4 1S 12A FC V2.2 flight controller. This manual provides essential information for safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your drone.
The Cetus X frame is constructed from durable PA12 material, offering excellent impact resistance and 360° protection for safe flights. The FPV camera supports an adjustable angle from 0° to 40°, providing versatile viewing options during flight.
Safety Guidelines
- Practice Flying: For beginners, it is highly recommended to practice flying drones via a simulator or Betaflight configurator to prevent damage from frequent crashes during initial flights.
- Firmware Compatibility: Ensure all connected devices (transmitter, TX module, etc.) use the same ELRS V3 protocol and firmware version for successful binding.
- ESC/Motor Settings: DO NOT change the ESC or Motor settings on the Betaflight configurator, BLHeli Configurator, or Bluejay Configurator. Doing so will invalidate the Flight Controller.
- Battery Usage: The Cetus X Brushless Quadcopter requires two 1S batteries. It is not recommended to use different brand batteries.
- Camera Angle: The C04 FPV Camera supports an adjustable angle from 0° to 40°. Do not adjust the angle to exceed 40°, as this may damage the camera and cause signal loss.

Setup
Battery Installation
Proper battery installation is crucial for safe operation. The Cetus X uses two 1S BT2.0 450mAh batteries.

Binding the Drone
To establish communication between your drone and transmitter, you must bind them. Ensure both devices use the ELRS 2.4G protocol and are on the same firmware version (ELRS V3).
Operating Instructions
Camera Angle Adjustment
The C04 FPV Camera's angle can be adjusted from 0° to 40°. At 0°, the frame and propellers may be visible in your FPV feed. Adjusting the angle to approximately 25° typically makes the frame and props invisible during flight, providing a clearer view.

Flight Environment
The Cetus X is suitable for both indoor and outdoor flight. For outdoor flying, choose calm conditions with little to no wind to ensure stable flight performance due to its lightweight design.
Activating Turtle Mode
Turtle Mode allows the drone to flip itself over if it lands upside down, enabling you to resume flight without manual intervention.
Maintenance
Camera Replacement
If your C04 FPV Camera needs replacement, follow the steps outlined in the video below. The camera is designed for plug-and-play installation.

Troubleshooting
Fixing Drifting Issues
If your drone experiences drifting during flight, it may require calibration or adjustment within the Betaflight software.
Loss of Video Signal
If you experience loss of video signal, ensure the camera angle is within the recommended 0°-40° range. Angles exceeding 40° can cause signal loss. Also, check all connections to the VTX module and camera.
