• Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery type (2 AA batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Insert batteries with correct polarity. Remove batteries if the toy will not be used for an extended period.
• Choking Hazard: This set contains small parts. Keep away from children under 3 years of age.
• Track Stability: Ensure tracks are securely connected and placed on a flat, stable surface (floor) or properly mounted (tree) to prevent the train from derailing.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the train engine.
2. Using a small screwdriver (not included), open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

4.2 Track Assembly

1. Connect the track sections together to form a complete circular loop. Ensure each piece clicks securely into place.
2. Verify all connections are firm to prevent derailment during operation.

4.3 Attaching Train Cars

1. Hook the train cars together using the small connectors on the front and back of each car.
2. Place the assembled train onto the track, ensuring all wheels are properly seated on the rails.

4.4 Placement Options: Floor Play or Tree Mounting

For Floor Play:

• Place the assembled track on a flat, level surface.
• Ensure there are no obstructions that could interfere with the train's movement.

For Tree Mounting:

• Attach the provided tree mounting clamps to the track sections as indicated in the diagrams (refer to product packaging for specific clamp placement).
• Carefully position the track around the Christmas tree trunk. The tree trunk diameter must be less than or equal to 2.25 inches for proper mounting.
• Secure the clamps firmly to the tree trunk, ensuring the track is level and stable.
• Place the train on the mounted track.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Once the train is assembled and batteries are installed, locate the power switch on the train engine.
2. Slide the switch to the 'ON' position. The train will begin to move, and the front light will illuminate. Jingle bell music will also start playing.
3. To stop the train, slide the power switch to the 'OFF' position.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the train and tracks with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the train's speed decreases, or lights and sounds become faint. Always replace all batteries at the same time.
• Storage: When not in use, disassemble the train and tracks and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

• Train not moving or lights/sounds not working:
  • Check if the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Ensure batteries are installed correctly with proper polarity.
  • Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
  • Verify that the battery compartment cover is securely closed.
• Train derails frequently:
  • Ensure all track sections are firmly connected and form a smooth, continuous loop.
  • Check that the track is placed on a flat, level surface (for floor play) or securely mounted (for tree play).
  • Verify that all train car wheels are properly seated on the rails.
  • Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the track or wheels.
• Train moves too fast:
  • This toy is designed to operate at a specific speed. If it consistently moves too fast and derails, ensure the track is perfectly level and connections are tight. If issues persist, contact customer support.
