- Hand wash the interior of the kettle with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
- The Stagg EKG Pro is not dishwasher safe.
Descaling
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in areas with hard water. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain performance and extend the life of your kettle.
- Fill the kettle with a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
- Heat the solution to boiling and let it stand for 20-30 minutes.
- Pour out the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Repeat if necessary until all deposits are removed.
Troubleshooting
- Kettle not heating: Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the base and the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the power button is pressed.
- Inaccurate temperature reading: Verify that the altitude setting is correctly calibrated for your location. Ensure the temperature unit (Fahrenheit/Celsius) is set as desired.
- Slow heating: Ensure the kettle is filled within the minimum and maximum fill lines. Descale the kettle if mineral buildup is present.
- Water not pouring smoothly: Check that the lid is properly aligned and secured, allowing for proper ventilation.
- Display issues: If the LCD screen is not functioning correctly, try unplugging the kettle for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
