4. Binding the Remote Control

The remote control and RC car are typically pre-bound from the factory. If re-binding is necessary (e.g., after replacing the transmitter or ESC, or if connection is lost):

  1. Ensure both the RC car and remote control are powered off.
  2. Turn on the RC car. The ESC indicator light will flash.
  3. Turn on the remote control.
  4. The indicator lights on both the car and remote should become solid, indicating a successful bind.
  5. If binding fails, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact support.

  • 1. Steering Wheel: Controls left and right steering.
  • 2. Throttle Trigger: Pull for forward, push for reverse/brake.
  • 3. Battery Compartment: Holds the remote control batteries.
  • 4. Steering Trim (ST.TRIM): Adjusts the neutral position of the steering.
  • 5. Steering Reverse (ST.REV): Reverses steering direction.
  • 6. ON/OFF Power Switch: Turns the remote control on/off.
  • 7. Power Indicator (Low Power): Indicates low battery for the remote.
  • 8. Steering D/R (Dual Rate): Adjusts the maximum steering angle.
  • 9. Speed Tuning (SPEED): Adjusts the maximum speed of the vehicle.
  • 10. Throttle Reverse (TH.REV): Reverses throttle direction.

Driving the RC Car

  1. Power On: Turn on the RC car first, then the remote control.
  2. Adjust Speed: Use the "Speed Tuning" dial (9) on the remote to set a comfortable maximum speed, especially for beginners.
  3. Forward/Reverse: Gently pull the throttle trigger (2) to move forward. Push the trigger away from you to brake, then push again for reverse. Avoid rapid forward-to-reverse transitions.
  4. Steering: Turn the steering wheel (1) left or right to steer the vehicle. Adjust "Steering Trim" (4) if the car does not drive straight.
  5. Off-Road Operation: The 903A is designed for off-road use with its 4x4 drivetrain, aluminum oil shocks, and V-tread tires.
  6. Power Off: Always turn off the RC car first, then the remote control after use. Disconnect the battery from the RC car.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your RC car.

  • Cleaning:
    • After each use, especially in dirty or dusty conditions, clean the vehicle.
    • Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dirt and debris from the chassis, suspension, and drivetrain.
    • Wipe down the body with a damp cloth.
  • Inspecting Components:
    • Regularly check for loose screws, damaged parts, or worn gears.
    • Inspect the tires for wear and ensure they are securely mounted.
    • Check the oil shocks for leaks or damage.
    • Ensure all metal drive shafts and outdrive cups are free from damage.
  • Battery Care:
    • Always disconnect the battery from the vehicle when not in use.
    • Store Li-Po batteries in a cool, dry place, ideally at a storage voltage (around 3.8V per cell).
    • Do not fully discharge Li-Po batteries, as this can damage them.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check and lubricate moving parts as needed, such as universal joints and bearings, with appropriate RC lubricant.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions. If problems persist, contact customer support.

ProblemSolution
Stopped working after a few uses
  • Fully charge battery packs and ensure transmitter batteries are sufficient.
  • Check if the vehicle can bind with the transmitter.
  • Check if it goes forward/backward or steers.
  • Ensure no damaged parts in the drivetrain.
  • Verify motor and ESC functionality.
  • Contact seller via Amazon message for further assistance.
Steering works but the car won't run
  • Ensure battery power is sufficient. ESC won't drive but steering servo may work with low battery.
  • Verify motor and ESC function properly.
  • Check if drivetrains are not clogged, no stripped gears, no noise, no floppy wheels, and no missing drive shafts.
Not going straight
  • Tune the Steering Trim on the transmitter.
  • Ensure steering links and servo are undamaged.
  • Check for deformed parts in the steering system.
  • Make sure tires are properly locked and not wobbling.
Batteries can't take charge
  • Check if the USB charging cable works.
  • Do not leave batteries idle for a long time. Charge them regularly to avoid over-discharging.
Not going reverse
  • Do not push and pull the trigger back and forth too rapidly. To go reverse, always center the trigger and then push it a second time.
  • Try re-binding. If the problem persists, replace the new transmitter and the ESC.
One of the wheels does not turn
  • The drive shaft that drives the wheel may have come away or is damaged.
  • Ensure the wheel is well secured.
Shuts off itself
  • This problem may arise from low battery voltage cutoff or overheat cutoff.
  • Charge the batteries or wait until the ESC is cooled down.
  • If the problem still occurs, replace the new ESC.
No signal connection, binding failure
  • Try with fresh batteries and try in another place.
  • Make sure you have not driven it out of range.
  • If the problem still occurs, please contact us for parts' replacement service.
Not steering
  • Check if it does not steer properly or if it does not steer at all.
  • Ensure the steering posts, steering links, or the servo saver and the steering servo are all in good working order.
  • Make sure no objects are invading and hampering the steering system.
Smaller than expected

It is typically a 1/12th hobby grade RC vehicle with proportional steering and throttle control, fast and well-constructed. It is fun to drive. Make a try and enjoy an authentic drive.

Missing parts

Although every car has been strictly tested before leaving the factory, inadvertent mistakes or damage during transportation may occur. If it is the case, please contact us for assistance.

The car runs itself when switched on
  • Please re-bind.
  • Do not move the trigger and steering wheel until the vehicle has been bound with the transmitter.
  • If the problem still occurs, please contact us for assistance.
