- Connect Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into one of the USB ports on the NVR.
- Power On: The NVR will automatically power on and display the boot screen.
- Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to set up language, time zone, and create a password for the system.
5.2 Camera Installation
- Choose Location: Select suitable locations for your cameras, ensuring they have a clear field of view and are within range of the NVR's wireless signal. Consider areas that require monitoring, such as entry points or outdoor spaces.
- Mount Cameras: Use the provided screws and mounting hardware to securely attach each camera to a wall or ceiling. Adjust the camera angle as needed.
- Connect Power: Plug each camera's power adapter into the camera and then into a power outlet.
5.3 Camera Pairing (Auto-Pairing)
The DIHOOM system features auto-pairing. The NVR and cameras are typically pre-paired at the factory. Once both the NVR and cameras are powered on, the cameras should automatically connect to the NVR and display video on the monitor.

If a camera does not connect, right-click on the NVR screen, go to 'Video Manage' or 'Channel Setup', and select 'Wireless Add' or 'Pairing' to manually add the camera. Ensure the camera is powered on and close to the NVR during the pairing process.
5.4 Hard Drive Installation (If not pre-installed)
If your NVR did not come with a pre-installed hard drive, follow these steps:
- Power Off NVR: Disconnect the NVR from power.
- Open NVR Casing: Carefully open the NVR casing (refer to specific model instructions for screw locations).
- Connect HDD: Connect the SATA power and data cables from the NVR to the hard drive.
- Secure HDD: Mount the hard drive securely within the NVR casing using the provided screws.
- Close Casing: Reattach the NVR casing.
- Format HDD: Power on the NVR. Navigate to 'System Setup' > 'HDD Manage' and format the newly installed hard drive. This prepares it for recording.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Cameras: Gently wipe camera lenses with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- NVR: Keep the NVR's vents clear of dust to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating. Wipe the screen and casing with a soft, damp cloth.
7.2 Firmware Updates
Periodically check the DIHOOM official website for firmware updates. Updates can improve system performance, add new features, or fix bugs. Follow the provided instructions carefully when performing firmware updates to avoid damaging the device.
7.3 Storage Management
The system supports H.265+ compression to maximize storage efficiency. When the hard drive is full, the system will automatically overwrite the oldest recordings (loop recording). You can back up important footage to a USB drive or through the mobile app before it is overwritten.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Video Display:
- Check if the NVR and cameras are powered on.
- Ensure cameras are paired with the NVR. Re-pair if necessary.
- Verify camera power adapters are functioning correctly.
- Poor Video Quality:
- Check for obstructions on the camera lens.
- Ensure cameras are within optimal range of the NVR for strong wireless signal.
- Clean the camera lens.
- No Recording:
- Verify that a hard drive is installed and formatted.
- Check recording schedules and settings.
- Ensure the hard drive is not full (though loop recording should prevent this from stopping recording entirely).
- Remote Access Issues:
- Ensure the NVR is connected to the internet via the LAN cable.
- Check your router's internet connection.
- Verify the device ID or QR code is correctly entered in the app.
